Goodwood Festival of Speed 2007

Went for the first time today, in a word - awesome! Far too much to do in a day so I enjoyed the hill climb action and rally stage and missed most other things, didn't even really get around to seeing much static stuff. Will be going for two days next year! By the time I had left a Nissan Primera (BTCC) was the quickest car of the day and I imagine that didn't change in the last hour or so, driver was a nutter.

Got a 90% keeper rate on the pics, found it really easy for some reason. Here are a few:

Jaguar XKR GT3, lasted approx 20 seconds before binning it at 8:40 this morning!

I was there today, got loads of photos, just not sure how to upload them.

Absolutely fantastic day, weather good most of it, then had a massive downpour at 3.30ish, closely followed by a works Aston Martin being completely destroyed right in front of Goodwood house. He was'nt even gunning it, no timing today, yet he spun 5 times, including hitting both safety barriers. We felt the need to run as bodywork was flying up in the air!!

Never seen anything like it in years.

No Renault stand either this year for some reason....everyone else was there.

Brilliant pics mate, you must have an awesome camera?

Really wish I'd gone now! I haven't been since 2005. I'll have to go next year.

Sounds like the weather was ok, in 2005 I got really sunburnt and then it heavily rained and the car misted up so badly with the torrential rain coming home i couldn't see anything on the motorway. Crazy!

As always...stunning pics Chris.

I got drenched there today at lunchtime...sought refuge under the canopy of the Guiness bar for 45 mins LOL

The front camber on that Toyota F1 car was extreme!

Fastest car by a long way imo was the Toyota Tacoma pikes peak, made everything else look pedestrian!

Toyota Tacoma Pikes Peak:
top speed: 212 kp/h (due to gearing for Pikes Peak hill climb)
BHP: 1000 (at sea level)
acceleration: 0-100kp/h 1.6 seconds
0-200kp/h 4.9 seconds
one of the fastest accereating vehicles ever built

Getting pics of the F1 when it was in the paddock was really hard as it always had a crowd round it.

I love them sooo much, but I never got to see it on the track:dapprove:
