Agreed! Also, keep in mind how expensive cars over here - a new Aventador is probably $750-800k AUD.
A few years back when Dad's business partner bought a new F430 for around $450-500k AUD, he just laughed and said, "I'd rather buy 5 cheaper but still awesome cars." Couldn't imagine having that...
Haha no, no he doesn't. If you add it all up, in Aussie dollars, all the cars together are probably the cost of a brand new well-specced Aventador. But he's always liked unique and interesting cars, and Renault and Lotus are, especially in Australia, unique and interesting.
Cracking shot but yeh, the rear of the car looks a bit funny - looks like mostly lens distortion?
Can you also clone stamp out that white "hut" roof on the far right? It's distracting...
Thanks mate.
And yeh, we have (well, Dad has!) got a couple of Lotii:

Thanks for the comments guys.
Yes, we're over in Sydney, Australia. We have a good RS following over here and it is ever-growing. In fact, I think they've sold more RS Megane 3s here than in the UK.
The V6 and Spider are personal imports that we've bought from the people that moved over here...
A few weeks back Dad and I finally organised to collate all of our Renaultsports (6 between us) for a photoshoot, with the assistance of some friends from the OzRS forum.
Mine are the Iceberg Silver 172 and Albi Blue 197 and Dad's are the LY Meg R26 and 265 8:08 edition, Iceberg Silver ph1 V6...

Hey Riccardo! Glad to see you on here.
After meeting Riccardo a few times now and talking to him, he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and passionate about his Clio and rallying. He is planning to start up a rally...

Took part in a Euro car show back in November. Was good to see so many Renaults representing in a see of VAG content!

These are all totally different tyres:
- the AD08 & Federal 595 RSR are high performance road tyres
- the R888 is a proper R-spec semi slick
And which Direzza are you talking about?
What happened with this?
Does anyone have a template they could draw up in cad or by hand (basically a digital copy) they could send to a fellow Clio enthusiast down under in Aus? Pretty please?
I'm interested in both front and rear but mainly rears at the moment...
I've also been mucking around with a revised intake design. This is a prototype (Waiting on new pod filter to arrive) and I've made a template for the heatshielding/cover, just need to work out what material to use... any suggestions for something that's easy to work with using limited tools...
Before the Nationals, I plastidipped my track rims in red:

Looks much tougher with the mirrors done, I reckon:

A few small updates since I last posted. We had the OZRS Nationals in mid-September in Benalla/Winton, Victora, which involved a long-weekend of drive day, track day and social events. Was great fun and the Silver Bullet performed faultlessly.
Packed up and ready for the long drive:

Sorry, I meant to say R26 sticker pack!
We didn't get the 225 Trophy here - the 3-door 225s (that aren't R26s) are all standard 225s without Cup packs.
