Now that's a hard-riding standard car. Lol. Huge fun though. Gutted to be selling it.

I wish we did. There'd be one in the family garage for sure! (To go with the 172 + 197 (mine) and R26 + ph1 v6 (Dad's)

I must admit, i've been swaying towards KW V1's as of late, but these do look like the perfect ride height.

My only concern is that i've never really been a fan of using uprated springs on standard dampers, as they tend to pogo a little - never brilliant for ultimate handling.

Goes off to see if Bilstein sell dampers for the 197 ...

They definitely "pogo" a bit but not that badly, and I couldn't justify coilovers for the 5000km a year I do, plus I have the track 172 on coils already.

Are you on standard 197 dampers or Cup? Obviously it's not as mismatched on Cup dampers. If you can arrange it, I'd have a drive of the different set ups first.

Update April 10


I swapped my K-Tec cat-back with my mates standard exhaust (with centre silencer removed) + cash my way. I just couldn't hack the drone on the freeway after the weekend away, plus I have my 172 track car I can take out if I want a loud obnoxious car! Not that the de-centre silenced stock exhaust is quiet, it just doesn't have the booming bass of the cat-back exhaust. Very happy with the swap + the extra cash almost covered the cost of my new suspension 8)

Well, a gloss black 200 diffuser came up for sale on eBay last week and with no reserve, I picked it up cheap. Fitted it last night. Very happy.
