    Hutchie, get to Megaton and start doing some side quests - it honestly does get better. I sold my Xbox copy to someone on here months and months ago becuase I thought the same thing. Got it on PC now and although only played 8hrs, loving it so far!

    Oh right, I think you have to follow the waypoints on the map, the little circular ones. You end up going through 3/4 sets of underground stations.

    When it's making the grinding noise, do you get vibration through the brake pedal? If so then you've likely got a broken ABS ring / sensor. First thing I would check.
