Ill say it again Nero's are pants! If you really do have 15k hours of track experience you'll have them overheating coming out of the pits, me as a total novice had them screeching (over heating in case you didn't know) after a lap.
For a great all-rounder that lasts you cant beat the r888's in...
My rears where always corroded and didn't seem to clear even when on track. I then rebuilt them using the biggred kit and they clear up fine now. Another way to clean them up is by pulling the abs fuse reverting the system to 50/50 bias but if the callipers are not working effectively then it...
Out of interest what performance pads do you rate in the OE callipers? Got Brembo OE in mine and they are utter shite. Looking at Stoptech fast road pads.
Shouldn't be an issue as long as it passes the brake efficiency test. Does look a waste though but its still grabbing the same area as the 2 piece presuming they were 320mm OD same as the ST/MPS/T5 discs.
Did you let them cool overnight though? The discs in particular in my experience need to go through a cure. I've bedded in pads and discs once at the track without cooling fully and the pads and discs where toast at the end of the day similar looking to yours but no pad material left.
I've transferred pads to different discs and vice versa and never had an issue, just bedded them in each time. Out of interest mate how did you bed them in? Did you do it at the track, if so then they wont have had a full heat cycle and there in lies the issue.
Good lap that mate, it seems similar but you are defo carrying more speed down the straights and through Druids. Would be good to see the vid?
This was the first outing on all my new mods together, AST's, 197 cams etc and the tyres where really letting the set-up down. There was defo at least...
@Wellbs I've got a pair of Genuine Renault OE discs with bearings and good condition ABS rings, £25 delivered if you need them. Ive also got a OSR 182 sub axel (£25 delivered) and NSF/OSF cup hubs with working ABS sensors as well if you need them (£30 delivered each)
Right ive bitten my tongue long enough with you and this is me being respectful to my elders. I'll say what most others think, you come across as a weirdo with nothing better to do than talk utter shite on this forum, you talk in riddles and reply without properly reading a thread/post and 99%...
It slipped the timing as the alternator shaft had a load of play in it, shredding the aux belt, therefore slipping the timing. And last time it snapped a valve after a rebuilt head was fitted not 300 miles previously so nothing to do with driving it hard as I didn't have chance to drive it hard...
