Never heard of blocking one of the ports off, most just tee it instead. Saying that I had the same issue for ages with my track 182, after rebuilding the callipers, countless flushes and alignments I gave up and put it down to bad weight distribution (lighter on the NSF).
Can be a bit of a ballache, more so people wanting items posted for peanuts which are a pain to get off. I'm currently trying to flog the rest of my bits to no avail so eBay it is on a rolling 30 day auction until they all sell. Did enjoy pulling it apart though, especially pulling the engine...
Caliper mech is separate and activated by a spring from what i could gather. Mine was pushing the piston when activating the mech by hand but the fluid system was really poor as the brake test pre and post rebuild proved. Maybe it was the sliders but the pistons were badly corroded and all seals...
You cant go wrong with the A048s, the difference will be staggering compared to the utter tosh neros. I've just got hold of a used set of Kumho V70a which are meant to be a brilliant all-rounder.
Get the car on a MOT brake tester, rears when working properly should pull 1/3 of the cars braking force contrary to what others say. Most just think they do nothing but most have never had a rebuild since new and there in lies the issue.
The biggred kit is around £20 and its a pretty straight...
Looking at these for the Celica I've just purchased. Anyone got any experience with them?
Would be going with the Zeta CRD+ below, they come with fixed spring rates of 5kg front/7kg rear.
Or should i just go with the BC racing BR's with custom damping...
Looking good. Currently looking at the Celica 190 as a track project and never thought of one of these. My first mod would be a decent roll bar though.
Seems after a bit of reading a head skim (50 thou+) can increase n/a power somewhat coupled that with the basic breathing mods of intake and exhaust you should see half decent gains for not a lot of money from the 1.8 nb.
One close enough here I could go test drive with the all important Torson...
So tempted by something like this to replace the 182 track car. I know its scruffy but I'm tempted to throw in a bid or contact him with an offer around £2.5k as its well spec'd and looks ready to track!
Thoughts...
Honest to god, how do these places survive not doing the most simple of tasks, kwik-fit are the bloody same! just buy a camber gauge and do it yourself then go get the toe done at the garage.

Engine and box out. Just left it on the subframe attached by the lower mount. I'll get the video up in a bit. Me and a mate lifting and my mum wheeling it out on a trolley 😂
As James mentioned it will be the lap belt buckles are too close to the seat hole, therefore not sitting flat to the belt so you'll be getting slip. If you cant adjust the buckle down towards the anchor points then pull the buckle through the hole slightly, not ideal but its what I used to have...
