Mick at Diamond answered a lot of questions on this subject here https://cliosport.net/threads/climate-control-convert.698732/ although it was to do the opposite of what you want to do. You should be able to pick through it ok.
My old BG used to tramline badly. The steering would have a mind of its own at times, pretty scary. I’d replaced all the bushes, including rack bushes but no different. I then switched tyres as it had Yokohama AD08Rs to Michelin PS3 195/16/45 and it was like a brand new car.
In my case I know...
Mixed feelings on the LT’s. I was tempted to get some before picking up some TD Pro Race 1.2s. They remind me of Braid racing wheels. I like the colour though. It suits your car.
It’s a 20 year old car that’s had some money spent on it to make it more track capable. Engine dynamics are a reputable engine builder. LSD is always a nice thing to have on a circuit.
Listed at £6,500.
It’ll have its bodywork problems both externally and internally like any 20 year old car...
Took a trip over to see @Brigsy this morning to turn the seat airbags off via Clip. Top bloke and very knowledgeable. Great to know he’s only on my doorstep too. Thanks Jon 🙏🏻 #Legend
In other news I’ve lost my flippin locking wheel nut key. I’ve literally turned the garage and house upside...
When I got the missus to help me bleed one of mine, I'm shouting "push the pedal then". She says I am, I am.
I'm like no you're not because there's no fluid coming through. I go around to the front and say "show me" and she's pushing the clutch in :ROFLMAO:
I'm like "push the f**cking brake...
Just list without doing the belts and adjust the price by £1,000. These cars have more issues to be concerned with than just the belts.
But I agree with @The Crumb Master in that if you're going to do it, get a proper reputable specialist like AW Motorworks, Mick at Diamond, Beaniesport et-al...
It’s great to be back out in these amazing little cars. Couldn’t help but take a pic as I was heading home for the evening. She got her 3rd wash since I bought her, but it‘s desperately in need of a proper detail. Going to get her booked in soon.
Get in touch with @Darryl_1983 as he's selling my old BG 182.
I sold it to him without doing the belts and he's subsequently had Mick at Diamond do them a few months back.
Yeah I agree.
Never had a genuine one TBH. They feel brittle in comparison to the Fabia. I was lucky to get a brand new unused one as they’re NLA. I’ll just have to be careful.
In between the seats I did a few small jobs which were equally important. To me anyway.
I’d acquired a few genuine parts like a rear wiper blade, aerial mast, badge grommets and front splitter.
Mast on.
The rear tailgate had no grommets so the previous owner had wrapped some foil around...
Cheers Nick. I really want a Trophy in Racing Blue 😂
I’ll probably swap the subframes though as with the Jon Foz x-low frames, the seats don’t centre which is already doing my nut in.
Thanks. I got them from Universal seat belts via EBay. 25cm. Here’s the link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152323944828?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bLFICTY7Qp2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Unwx-nP3Rjy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
That’s the seats done. Much easier the second time around. Only the seat belts to swap over but CBA as I’ve felt a little flat this week.
Thank you for reading.
