Yeh I really liked my first site, but it was so crap in terms of coding. The menus were just jpgs with hotspots on them! No way will I move from WP, unless it's easier and better.
Yeh the file is fine, but that image is set in the post options. You set an image as the featured image, and it...
The only images I know aren't working are the blog post images (ie the ones on the blog main page), directly under the post title.
Can't figure out why they don't work!
Howdy,
A few things have been bugging me about my current website, mainly the loading times. Despite re-sizing and saving all the images at a lower quality, it still takes too long to load.
So I've managed to install a second wordpress theme inline with my current.
The new site is...
I've never been a massive fan of Flickr. Lot's of amazing photos, but lots of crap on there too.
Just discovered a site for photographers called 500PX.
Visit here: http://500px.com/
It's similar to Flickr, but people only upload their best, so the standard is much higher.
I recommend...
That's a great focal range, but be aware on a cropped sensor 24mm isn't that wide.
The lens I use the most is my Nikon 24-70mm, cracking lens. Sigma still very good though.
Wow really nice work Steve! Completely different from the norm!
I'd love to come on a shoot with you, looks crazy lol.
For me the watermark itself is fine, but I think it could be toned down a bit so it's not so dominant in the photo.
Cleanmymac has cleared out over 14GB of data off my MBP since I started using. Granted most of that has been cache files....mostly adobe bridge.
Does a good job, just have to be careful I think.
Currently sat bored in the hotel waiting to be picked up to head out to dinner....thought I'd share a few snaps from today.
These are literally quick snaps, the guy looking after me here kindly drove me to a few spots before dropping me off at the hotel.
These guys would...
The best thing youcan do to clean your sensor is sensor swabs. Buy a pack of them (make sure theyre the right size!) and some cleaning fluid.
You then just swipe the swab across the sensor. Does a pretty good jib, although you might need to do a few passes.
Defo take your camera with you. DO NOT put in in the checked in luggage.
I was looking for small tripods a while ago to take with me everywhere, but gave up in the end as I think it would be too bulky for me.
Have you thought about those gorilla pod things? They could be a good alternative...
lol cheers guys.
I don't know where I learnt it haha, the only way anyone really does I guess....just going out there and having a go. Learning from your mistakes etc....
I'm really not sure if I'd want to do it Setone, but only because I'd want to protect you, if that doesn't sound strange lol!
All 4 of the weddings I've done are for mates, so there is a little bit less pressure (but still a lot!).
I would be so worried that I wouldn't be able to deliver on...
Well as usual, I wasn't fully confident I would be able to deliver quality photos, if you know what I mean.
Hence why I charged what I did......nothing.
(they are mates, so it was a kind of favour again)
Not really sure what you guys expect from an 'event photographer'. Fast shutter speeds, and parked cars on track are the norm.
Doesn't take any talent at all, but I bet they still sell a load of them.
I don't host with photobucket. I host photos on my site, so I don't have to worry about compression or anything like that.
Could you upload them to your site and create a WP post?
Yesterday was my forth wedding, so I'm not the most experienced, but you've got to start somewhere!
The weather was up and down throughout the day. It started amazingly well, blue sky and sun. Then as the ceremony started, it pissed it down. Then stopped as it finished (literally). Then...
