If you zoomed in on those rock formations, you could get an awesome minimalistic shot, with the clear sky and water.

I think the law was something to do with the fact that some dash dodgers had a kink in them, meaning they were pretty much useless as they would just crumple. Burpspeed have an OMP cage, they are alright with the rules I think (dashdodger)

Macro lenses are huge fun, it's amazing what you miss walking around normally trying to capture a landscape or whatever. There's a whole other world down there!

I had a Fuji S9500 as my first 'proper' camera. Loved it, but I soon found myself wanting an SLR camera.

Yeh I snapped a wedding couple of the jetty too, same evening as those shots above, so they were lucky with a nice sunset!

I can't offer any experiences on any of those bodies or lenses, but I have heard a lot of bad things about the Canon 75-300mm lens! I'm sure a few people on here have/had that lens. How come the D90 is cheaper? I thought that was a higher spec camera?

I'd always invest the extra cash in a lens, if you buy a cheap crappy one, you'll soon regret it as you quickly realise it's limitations.
