Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Had a spare 30 mins over the weekend so gave the fagwagon its 1st clean in my ownership. Used a hose, bucket & washmitt, dried with a purple towel from the bathroom & applied tyre shine. Considering i had a 5 minute beer break within that, i think it looks ok...
Looks lovely!!!
If you havent already, get mini warranty, then go on minitorque and read about walnut shell de-coke, twin catch tanks & carbon buildup.
Enjoy :)
Car looks nice, quick question re: these Team Heko things though?
What is the point of them, ive always assumed its if your a smoker you can flick ash out the window without too much wind noise. Or to fit in with JDM. If you dont smoke, or drive a clio, im not sure i understand their benefits...
Think I was going through them roughly every 3 months at one point. Was doing mega miles, so buy, put 10k on it, sell resulted in minimal losses. The cars ive kept the longest (ShedTrophy, M3, R32) are the only ones ive really lost any money on thankfully.
I have, but the cost is daft, far...
Was going through some photos earlier on for another forum, so thought i might as well post them up on here as well.
Always find it interesting seeing people's car journeys, so here's mine, from age 17-30 (no digital pics of 1st car).
Hope you enjoy them as much as i have :D
17: Daihatsu...
Are you the chap with the RB182 then? Engine does sound pretty poorly
Just push it down the road to Mike's and let him/us sort it if so, will keep him out of trouble for a few hours lol.
He doesn't mind, probably jealous that we're taking a pig this year to spitroast instead of him, so the extra attention would be nice.
Bless him, takes payment in alphabetti spaghetti, turkey dinosaurs and potato smileys iirc.
I've got one of those at home, Le Mans is for bloke stuff.
Although if you're desperate for a different type of meat we could always lend you Ryan (couzens)?
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Its a Dave F. hybrid airbox, stealth modding FTW ;) Re: the 15 vs 17% pulleys, ive been advised that 15 is better if you like to chase the revs for power, whereas 17 gives a big dump of power then tails off.
lol. I've taken AT & PH off my favourites on Chrome, replaced with Rightmove :dapprove:
Could spend £8k on the Bini and it would still owe me less than a GP!!!
Sorry Gaz.
Wahoo.
The R32 was finally collected on Sunday (tbf when I actually advertised it properly, i.e. PH, I had a deposit within 2 days), which means I can now play a little with my cheaper toy: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?688406-A-Mini-Adventure oh, & start looking for a house lol.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
So with the R32 now sold, im free to tinker slightly with the Mini. Wahoo.
Last weekends bank holiday trip to Cornwall meant I could fit the GRS, bit of a fiddle, but only 30 mins or so. Noticeable benefits I think, not so much in power (as there generally isn't any)...
Lol. Im assuming that if the CTR had any steering feel whatsoever, the driver would have known that the wheels were turned towards the barrier and corrected?
