Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Ha ha, im sure it will, just in a slightly different way to the clio i think.
Put together a little suspension shopping list this morning as it happens:
AP Coilovers - was more than happy with them on the R32 & very similar to KV V1 imho
Hardrace adjustable control...
So basically anything with 'Race' in the title is poorly built and wont last? Oreca 'Race' exhaust, Spax 'Race' suspension, etc. I assume that NWP used to do 'Race' cambelts, TDF built 'Race' cars and Ktec manufacture their 'Race' engine looms then.
What a load of pap, its fallen apart at the...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
lol. Went home to Cornwall, & the car scraped all the way down my parents drive, so i didnt see the point in keeping them.
They've now graveled the drive. FFS.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Sh1t tyres be gone!!! Had the Hankooks fitted yesterday afternoon and well, all i can say is wow, feels like a completely different car lol!!!
Steering is lighter, it doesnt follow every ridge or bump in the road and even some of the interior rattles have gone. Win...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Mines a very early one, so no mpg gauge (for now anyways), but i reckon i'm doing about 30 overall. Its nowhere near as good as the 1*2, but a bit better than the R32. I'm not sure its a car you'd buy if you were worried about mpg, mainly as the whine is so addictive :o
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
This is the problem lol. Unlike the clio, which is very good out the box, & so obscenely expensive to get power out of, i was always happy to just to the basic suspension/braking changes. The mini is so cheap to get decent power out of its almost rude not to, & the...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
I know, i know, just dont want to do everything at once. Nothing to look forwards to then ... although the temptation is strong.
Runsh4ts now sold, Hankook V12 Evo's in the post from Camskill. Wahoo.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Means to an end though.
Whilst it would be lovely having a CSL on the driveway, it would still be a rented house in front of it.
By keeping the mini, i get to buy the house.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Just booked it in for the following work at Minicraft on 17th July. Wahoo:
Supply & fit 15% Kavs pulley, belt & NGK plugs
Supply & fit Powerflex front wishbone bushes
Fit R56S calipers, Pagid 294mm discs, (tbc) pads, HEL braided lines f/r and some spaffy brake fluid...
Completely forgot to mention this earlier, but its probably as they made quite a few different Style 32's: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/?felge=320 which ones you get determine whether they look ok or not ...
Exactly. £3.5k is sort of fine if you are a 'long-term' car owner, but for someone who dips in, tries and then sells, like me (& Rich lol), having the potential for such bork is just mental. M3 was bad enough for me (although R32 was worse FFS), RS6/M5 no ta.
Love it!!! Personally, i would have had a 240 years ago if Sarah didnt have a TT already. Thats why i sold my one so quickly lol.
I've been saying this for years. The facelift ones, with the 's-line' suspension etc are really good cars!!! Not the last word in excitement, but as you've already...
My write up will be next week now. End of month/quarter at work so mega busy!!!
F*cking lol at Paul in full cammo for black ops though!!! Brilliant!!
Gonna take one of these for Mike next year i think ...
That type of thing is simply avoided by using your common sense. Driving anywhere near what i call the 'council estate of campsites' i.e. Bleu Nord/Sud on Friday afternoon is asking for trouble, it would be like going for a nice Sunday drive through Syria.
We stay in Houx, & yes, there is some...
Is that a good thing? Last time i logged on to e46zone i thought i was on the Bradford cruizin for b1tchez & drugz forum.
The wheels are terrible, your plans are terrible.
Please sell the BMW and buy a vectra instead.
