Id be soaking as much water up as i could out of the spark plug hole and leaving it for a day or so till its completely dried out, i wouldnt be trying to turn it over
Ive had a cat collaspe on my previous car and i had similiar problems to what your having now, in the end it completely collasped and restricted the performance alot
Thats nothing, theres a guy on vxronline with his corsa producing 400bhp, still with the 1.6 lump to!! now thats impressive, lots of modified ones out here aswell which are running 300bhp+

Glad your liking the car Ollie, what torque figures did it make? mine peaked at 150lbs and ran at around 145lbs throughout the rev range, drives so much better and pulls from way down the rev range, as paul said i could of had a little more bhp...
The lower inlet gives the gains not the top inlet, the RS stamped inlets were a little better matched than previous non stamped lower inlets, with inlets the car does pick up speed a little quicker
Are you stupid simple question? why compare 2 completely different cars theres nothing the same between the 2, the simple answer is you need a CAM AND AUX CHANGE
My car is at jms at the minute having the RS2 fitted, so got a few bits for sale soon, including the jms induction setup (V6 airbox) matched inlets and engine mounts
