I am familiar with Dialogys 3.99.
Best bet is to replace the plastic housing with the aluminium one. Last longer. You will have to change the thermostat as the one in the plastic housing is molded on whilst the one for the aluminium housing can be changed separately.

Your thermostat housing is connected to a metal water housing. Between the metal water housing, there is a gasket between it and where it connects to the engine. If this goes bad, oil begins to leak into the chambers where the coolant passes. A symptom of this...
If the wiring is there, all you need to do is connect into one that goes to a headlight. Also you will need a light stalk that has the fog light feature on it. Then you remove the cowling from the steering wheel and following the instructions in a guide, you replace the light stalk.
