This has probably been covered somewhere in this thread but I can't find where abouts for the life of me.
I'm having some Turinis powdercoated this week, how long will I have to leave them before I can apply something like Gtechniq C5? Do I need to let them 'breathe' for a bit?
Hi all,
Got some Turinis that could do with a spruce up. Looking for an OEM kind of finish, Silver with a little bit of flake but not OTT. Dropped them off at a powdercoaters yesterday and had a look at a few finishes. They had silver with no flake in it and a few really sparkly silvers but...
That's where I put mine. Always been sturdy enough for me.
When you've got it on the 2 stands, just give it a good push to make sure it isn't going anywhere.
Could be a million and one things, hard to say without having a look.
Sure it isn't something simple like your wheel scraping on the arch liner? Could happen if something's come loose when you put everything back together.
I took mine out and just had a rubber thing on top and bottom of the spring but it was just a touch too low and would scrape on the arch on certain speed bumps. I've just got 2 rubber things at the top of the spring and one below and it's loads better.
They do sound good but I've been struggling with the mani to cat gasket leaking so I've not got the 'full' sound as yet.
It is pretty loud though, I've just fitted a decat as well which will be taking off because it's a bit too loud for me now.
Think I've only ever seen or heard of a handful...
Just make sure whatever you do that you prep it correctly, give it a good wash and a drive around the block to dry it off before cracking on with the DA.....
I'm running around -2.2 camber and 10 mins toe out. Will be reducing the camber when I next get it aligned as it wants to follow every bump and jut in the road at the minute.
