    Which engine conversion can I do on my 1.4 16v 2005 mk2?

Firstly, even a 1*2 engine won't 'put you back in your seat' as you put it, they aren't the type of torquey engine that'll punch you in the back when you put your foot down. Secondly, if you don't declare mods, especially something as big as an engine change, you're a idiot.

Jesus, looks like a torture device 😂

Anyone used this top mount set

I believe both will fit (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). They don't seem to have the top bit, where as the first ones you posted do.

Anyone used this top mount set

@Dr Jekyll has got the Febi ones on his with no issues. I'll also be going for them as mine need replacing.

I'd be so giddy .... I'd love to turbo mine!

    Gear Gaiter

Or bodge it like me and stick some screws in the top and bottom, won't sit as flush as a new one mind you so for the price you may as well do that.

    Yorkshire Spring Chit Chat

I'm busy this weekend and the weekend after I could possibly do the Sunday morning but Saturday is out of the question as I'm popping in to see a certain car get mapped:)

    Wheel refurb recommendations.

In no rush, I just want somewhere that can take tyres off/refit and balance etc as I can't be bothered with the hassle or the extra cost to get that done elsewhere. Thanks for the replies :)

Could someone help me find a CV Boot kit please?!

Yep, mines been fine for over a year now. A lot of people don't rate them and say they don't last but mines been fine. The cone's to slip the boot over the shaft. You can knock the joint off and fit a proper boot but for less than a tenner and an hour or so you can't fault the stretchy ones.

    Team dynamics 1.2 fitment

For the price it's a no brainer, I'd always run them, just relaying what a few people said.

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Give me a shout if you fancy trying the Bio Brisk, I bought a mahoosive bottle as it was the only size I could get hold of without going to an Autosmart Representative person, so I've got loads left. I don't mind putting some in a little bottle and posting it or bringing it to CSF if you've not...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

I know you've bought that stuff now but have you tried Autosmart Bio Brisk? When I got my Trendlines they stuck of smoke but they've now odour free :)

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

I need some more tyre stuff so may give that a try. I've always used Megs Endurance Tyre stuff and it looks good but most of it ends up all over the arch and doesn't last very long IMO.

    Team dynamics 1.2 fitment

I've got spigot rings on my TD 1.2's but I read on Facebook that they aren't needed as they're only there to get it sat on the hub properly when putting the wheels on. Apparently once tightened up, they're fine without the spigot rings.

    Wheel refurb recommendations.

Cool. I only ask as I've just got some more wheels and they're in ok condition but are a really dull silver so I want them done in a bright, flaky silver. Think I'm going to get quotes from Metal Magic (yes I've done that on purpose  ), Midas Touch and LSN Coatings and see what the prices...

Don't piss about with springs @Louis' just save money and do it properly first time round, get coilovers.

Dat arch gap tho! They do look good though, even with your car being that high, they'll obvs look better with lowzzzz. What ever spacers @Dr Jekyll has got on his to make his final offset, go for that. Although his 2118s will have a different offset to yours so you'll need different size...

    Clios spotted around Leeds

Spotted @Tr0phy_Man at Middleton Asda today, well I heard before I saw, just pulling out of the car park whilst I was walking out of Asda. Sounds great!

Rear shocks - is this dead?

Yeh, if you want to start learning about doing little bits on your car, I can think of much worse and harder jobs than changing the rear shocks :)

    BG 182

Hahah, they actually will be until I get some spacers. I'll have 4 sets of wheels when I pick them up. I have cleaned the F1's and 182 wheels to sell though.

So when they going on? They'll look ace, and they'll look even better if you get coilovers!

    Many Suspension Questions

There's not that much to adjust. Just ask on here for what's the best fast road set up and take those details to your local alignment place and they should be able to do it. To be honest, it's just from what I've read on here and Facebook etc. Plus the Febi ones are pretty much half the price...

    Standard suspension adjustments

Yep only toe is adjustable but you can get camber bolts for the front for about £15.
  28. leeds2592

    Many Suspension Questions

By set the car up, what do you mean? Like get it at the correct ride height or alignment etc? If the former, just do that yourself, play about with it until you're happy. The joy of having coilovers is being able to get it sitting exactly how you want it. Defo get alignment done as well though...
