Firstly, even a 1*2 engine won't 'put you back in your seat' as you put it, they aren't the type of torquey engine that'll punch you in the back when you put your foot down.
Secondly, if you don't declare mods, especially something as big as an engine change, you're a idiot.
I'm busy this weekend and the weekend after I could possibly do the Sunday morning but Saturday is out of the question as I'm popping in to see a certain car get mapped:)
In no rush, I just want somewhere that can take tyres off/refit and balance etc as I can't be bothered with the hassle or the extra cost to get that done elsewhere. Thanks for the replies :)
Yep, mines been fine for over a year now. A lot of people don't rate them and say they don't last but mines been fine.
The cone's to slip the boot over the shaft.
You can knock the joint off and fit a proper boot but for less than a tenner and an hour or so you can't fault the stretchy ones.
Give me a shout if you fancy trying the Bio Brisk, I bought a mahoosive bottle as it was the only size I could get hold of without going to an Autosmart Representative person, so I've got loads left. I don't mind putting some in a little bottle and posting it or bringing it to CSF if you've not...
I need some more tyre stuff so may give that a try. I've always used Megs Endurance Tyre stuff and it looks good but most of it ends up all over the arch and doesn't last very long IMO.
I've got spigot rings on my TD 1.2's but I read on Facebook that they aren't needed as they're only there to get it sat on the hub properly when putting the wheels on. Apparently once tightened up, they're fine without the spigot rings.
Cool. I only ask as I've just got some more wheels and they're in ok condition but are a really dull silver so I want them done in a bright, flaky silver. Think I'm going to get quotes from Metal Magic (yes I've done that on purpose  ), Midas Touch and LSN Coatings and see what the prices...
Dat arch gap tho!
They do look good though, even with your car being that high, they'll obvs look better with lowzzzz.
What ever spacers @Dr Jekyll has got on his to make his final offset, go for that. Although his 2118s will have a different offset to yours so you'll need different size...
Spotted @Tr0phy_Man at Middleton Asda today, well I heard before I saw, just pulling out of the car park whilst I was walking out of Asda. Sounds great!
Hahah, they actually will be until I get some spacers. I'll have 4 sets of wheels when I pick them up. I have cleaned the F1's and 182 wheels to sell though.
There's not that much to adjust. Just ask on here for what's the best fast road set up and take those details to your local alignment place and they should be able to do it.
To be honest, it's just from what I've read on here and Facebook etc. Plus the Febi ones are pretty much half the price...
By set the car up, what do you mean? Like get it at the correct ride height or alignment etc? If the former, just do that yourself, play about with it until you're happy. The joy of having coilovers is being able to get it sitting exactly how you want it. Defo get alignment done as well though...
