BMW's gone, yesterday lunchtime. Contacted directly by someone who saw my last video, I spent a week sending pictures, video, and a few hours on the phone, before he drove all the way from Liverpool, arrived within 10 minutes of the agreed time, and then after much chatting paid the agreed...
I've been thinking about this, MX5? PFF
On a blue debadged Cayman, that from the back some could view as nothing more than an MX5......
Intentional? Private plate? Or lucky choice of original registration? Or I'm reading into this too much?
I've not even given it a thought.
The 2.7 seems fairly solid, I was just going to give it annual oil changes along with usual maintenance and see what happens.
Reports of oil starvation and power-steering pumps overheating on track don't concern me because a) I'll only ever run road rubber and...
If that's what you want there are few alternatives and none in this class. You'll get a hugely rapid, capable, and practical car. It only breaks down a bit when you go out for a drive just to drive.
I'd take just about any previous car I've had over the 140 for a 30 minute thrash cross country...
Yeah it has been a bit of an abrupt about face, but the feel thing has been gnawing away at me for a good while now.
As for buying cars for YT content, no. Focus was meant to be long term, but two HG failures was enough. BMW, likewise, and if I could just feel something from it I'd probably...
Nope. I've had no so much a slight urge to ask about it. At best it would feel like my Focus, but without the focus. Or the loose rear.
Just the same as any number of 4WD hatches you can buy at the moment. It's just a bit too generic really.
I've far more urge to go and test drive the latest...
Not detracted at all!
I love a bit of 'box debate 🤣
I'd be quicker with a ZF8, guaranteed, but, and this isn't news, I really love the act of changing gear myself, being part of the process, having to think about what I'm doing, having to really understand what I'm doing and understand how me...
Yeah, that would be a bit of a struggle. We have a C-Max for domestic duties, my cars serving that purpose have always been secondary thankfully.
Even with older girls (17 + 12) and so much less stuff to worry about, living with just my 1 series would be a massive PITA.
Thankfully the...
Ours is above the fireplace, you lot would actually sh*t if you saw it :ROFLMAO:
I don't see what the problem is? Optimal viewing angle?
Meh, it's hardly ever on as it is!
I've got some wide shots like that of my 200, I was thinking more close up, like Kyle's pic above.
Thanks anyway...if Jon doesn't get one from his 197 I could just about use that. Although once I've zoomed in we're firmly in potato land 😘
Forgot to add, they must be standard. Does anyone ever mod their pedals on a Clio?
The point I'm going to make with the image is how well they're setup for heel and toe shifts.
I need a well lit picture of your pedals. All 3 in shot, taken with your phone just in front of your driver's seat base.
They need not be spotless, but not hanging with chunks of mud/grass would be preferred.
I need this for an upcoming video...I've got something somewhere from when I had my...
My best in the 140 is a 1:33 and change (I know where there's an easy 0.5-1.0 if only I grew a pair). Comparable qualifying laps taken from various races run at the recent Speedweek events are;
BROOKS / TURKINGTON Mini 1275 GT (P J GREEN) - 1980 1:33.080
Dan COLLINS Lotus-Climax 21 - 1961...
