I know. It was too good an opportunity to miss.
I did drive round further and took a few more snaps but it was getting dark quickly and this had the best sky/colours in it.
Thats with Greenlight. I did think it was a tad expensive but then Emily is only 25 yrs old so i guess that part of it being high. But that's with all mods declared.
Maybe next year i'll look around as i like to be able to drive other vehicles. Something which Greenlight doesnt offer if you in...
There's always jobs to do Paul. It's just weather you can be bothered to do them!
Why the headlamp jet removal? Was they leaking or you wanted a cleaner look? Either way, they look better.
Odd about your headlamps being different colours though.
Its all good Paul, thank you. Your guide came right in handy. Probaly wouldnt have dome it without that tbh.
Yes buddy. If the buttons are easily swappable and it's in VGC I'll take it of your hands.
Just a heads up.... If you decide to change your suspension, measure the bolt spacing first. Yours could be a non cup packed model. They normally had silver wheels but that could just be a aesthetic change by previous owner/owners. The hub bolt spacing will either be 54mm or 60mm. Non cup packed...
I just realised that the OP started last year, i thought this was a recent issue @MrBlonde.
So ignore my answer. And you said you changed the ARB bushes anyway.
So i was getting annoyed with "top mount" knocking noise. I thought the bearing maybe sitting to high with both the 16mm and 22mm washers so i used my old rear bilstein washers and drilled them out to 16mm to try as ive seen others having one washer, some even having none.
I tried...
Steve, i had a crack when i was turning while parking. I thougt it was a dodgy CV joint, even though ive fitted new driveshafts.
After we changed the ARB it's gone. As you see, my outer one was fucked. Could it be that?
Yeah I agree there. It looks great on the gold F1s but nice and subtle on the 172 wheels and a sleeper look at that.
Glad the whiteline fitting went well for you. It's an easy job but as many jobs that your unsure about, it can be a bit nervy attempting to do them. Glad you had help. This place...
Absolutely mate. It was bugging me. After I fixed it, I sent Nick at PMS an update/apology as I recently emailed him with the issues thinking it was the top mounts.
Certainly mate. It's free to try.
So I took it all apart last night and changed the washers with the above drilled out to 16mm. Gave the car a quick drive and the noise was still there. I decided to check all bolts and nuts, suspension related as I've recently changed my ARB bushes and lower arms too. The noise turned out to be...
I was going to post up my thread but steve beat me to it.
Gaz were really helpful so they will revalve them even if you wasn't the original buyer. You may have to pay a small fee but it's a quick turnaround. They did mine while I waited on a Saturday morning. I drove to them which was about...
Ah I see what your saying. Yes they completely butt together and form a seal.
But...... I "think" I have found the cure. I will report in the morning with clarification but it "may" not even have been top mount related.... 🙈
My DS2500 gave off a tad of dust but think it's more noticeable with white wheels. Had them both in my BG and ph1, however both cars had 4 pots (wilwoods in the BG, Hi-Specs in the ph1) had them on the RB with standard pads.
Have always wondered about the minted as they seem to be similar as...
Ah man, what a s**t job it is!
The access is a right nightmare with the hard to reach areas/screws and the column in the way.
I've shave a fresh layer of skin off my hands!!
