So what are we saying to do? The bottom spacer just slides over the rod and sits on the washers. There is nothing to clamp it down. The bearing/top mount slides over and it's the sleeve nut that clamps it all down. I don't get how it can compress more? @STEVE.M @npt

It's all 100%. Done it twice. But done tight. Can't torque it as you need a 7mm Allen key for the strut piston/stem.

Standard length is 26mm. So that plus 18mm is 44mm.
