What the problem is steve, is the 2nd spline on the motor doesn't fit into the spline pictured. The mortor itself works fine and i actually had it blowing cold as it should when i was tinkering, but once it moves round, it must push the motor spline out. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I push...
No, just plated. Will be fine though. It was a pack of 100 for £3 from toolstation!
And I used a hand riveter, for no other reason other than I'm not a pussy.
Yeah that's what I did think originally. I wanted to see as if others have done the same. I didn't want to take the risk and possibly damage it, so i thought id ask if others have had a similar issue.
I'm thinking of removing one and giving it a try. It feels like it's not fully tightened down...
Well i got the new pedals fitted. As mentioned above, these are from a 197. @MarcB has looked into this quite well and has kept me in the loop. They are the same fitment and the top holes line up, but you have to redrill the lower hole. These are genuine items, and we've both noticed they have...
So what are we saying to do? The bottom spacer just slides over the rod and sits on the washers. There is nothing to clamp it down. The bearing/top mount slides over and it's the sleeve nut that clamps it all down. I don't get how it can compress more?
@STEVE.M @npt
It i get a loose feeling, then i was curious that the top nut and bearing is too high? Thats why i wanted to see what others had done.
@RyG Thats a lot! I feel its not 100% right even though ive fitted them as nick said. I even emailed him but he said its correct, but it doesn't feel it tbh.
It's bizarre. I've fitted them exactly as PMS/Nick said yet it does it. I took them apart on Saturday to recheck everything and everything was as before.
It's almost like it's not camped down enough. I've been given 2 washers as the bilstein kit is different.
As I said, when driving I feel no...
Who runs the above setup.
I've fitted mine and they feel great when on the road, but when I'm on loose ground the knock. It's a wobbling sound, like there loose but everything is tight.
I know they have added washers, but I'm just wandering if others with the same setup have had these issues...
I am gutted for you for the way that the trophy was ill treated down south. I wish that Mick can do a great turnaround and sometime in the near future we can see #165 built and back on the roads.
What a journey it, and you have been through. Gutted for you buddy. Certainly a patience and bank...
Does look lovely Tom mate. Those clean pics above look the shizzle!
When you say brakes, you keeping standard calipers or going bigger? Or a change in pad?
And you won't want to scrape that splitter considering the cost of them!
For some reason I though you was based in Chelmsford. Don't know why?
Car looks great chris.
Lovely stuff mate!
