Stick with the brembos and see how you get on with the MC. Its cheaper than new brakes. I also had DS2500 pads in both and was happy with them once it was sorted. The pedal travel in the ph1/Hi-Spec setup was filling with 100% confidence until we fitted the bigger MC. It was much better after that.

I wish! Been a Renault sport fan for a few years so got to know the colours. Ph1 172's came in both iceberg silver and titanium silver. Ph2 172's only came in iceberg silver and ph2 182's only came in titanium silver. It's spelt apparently, you div. But it's also true.

If it's a ph2, it'll be iceberg silver. They never made a green ph2.

Maybe he means Mk2? As mentioned above, it'll be ph1 only which they made 172 of. Mk1 is the Williams shape, Mk2 is the 172/182. Ph1 and Ph2 fall into that category. Then it goes Mk3 for the 197/200 and so on.

When I've fitted 4 pots (wilwoods and hispecs) I had more travel on the braking. The latter brakes, I changed the master cylinder for a bigger 197/200 as they have 4 pots as standard and that removed some of the pedal travel.

Date I say it, I think the originals still look the best Ben. I think it's the poke/raised spokes that's throwing that off.

I've literally just had this issue, by changing all my calipers. (For standard ones, not bigger.) You need someone with clip to pulse the and module. I had the same issues as you but a friend with clip helped it become good again. Well 99% as I still have a faint soft pedal, but one final bleed...
