I was thinking about why I struggled with the 350D this morning and it all came back to me. I don't really think about it now as I have a workaround but I (and I'm being serious here...!) can't actually close one eye independently of the other. This obviously made it very difficult to focus...
I do whatever, just love taking pics so I just shoot wherever I am, I happen to love motorsport as well hence so many motorsport pics!
Mess around with macro quite often but have never really put any proper effort into it, surprised at how well the camera coped out in the garden though...
That's probably the most viable option. Would be keeping the FZ20 regardless as it's small enough to take everywhere all the time (as I do!)
What lens should I be looking at? Willing to sacrifice distance if it means I can get really nice close work.
And Rich, 300mm 4L?! I've done enough...
63/500...My point exactly! Really don't want to get into that situation, simply can't afford it anyway.
Maybe the upgraded FZ20 is the answer (FZ30), more manual control etc. Not really going to help with detail but I don't think I'm going to get too far with a D-SLR on my budget.
Not sure...
I owned a 350D for a while, couldn't find any lens at reasonably sensible prices that was actually an improvement over what I was achieving with the FZ20. Sure some pics were obviously more detailed etc, but overall my pictures lost their spontaneity as I wasn't able to just get a shot instantly...
Although I love my FZ20 dearly and could never part with it, I'm getting to that point where I'm finding my ideas and potential compositions seriously limited by my equipment. I know a photographer should never blame his tools, but I think I have grounds to argue that point!
Nailed the...
Do it for two reasons...
1) It looks good
2) Let that take the flak from stonechips etc, put the original in storage and in a few years/decades you will have an absolute minter if you put it back to standard
It's not really tuned up (last I knew anyway), putting out about the same power as the other Cups we had at the RR day earlier this year give or take 1 or 2bhp. Good driver though :)
I'll be getting one for sure, should be fantastic. If the DS is anything to go by it will go down a storm. Also loving the console line-up they've got planned for the download content, so far...NES, SNES, TurboGrafx and Mega Drive.
^^^ quality. Me and the missus have DS' so often have a wi-fi game when apart, Tetris is the new game of choice but you can't beat a bit of Mario Kart.
Hate those blue shells, evil.
lol, fight! I have to admit this one has got me going... ;)
My argument would be that Nintendo games are, in the main, proper games. An escape from reality where you can enjoy yourself, they are not about fancy marketing, stupendously "good" graphics and impressing your mates, they are real...
Go with something like the Ford Focus/Fiesta ST White (Diamond), would look amazing. Definately needs to be some kind of pearlescent imo otherwise could look a bit dodgy.
Why limit the Willy to sub 30k miles? Seems to be a fair few more up to 60k for around £5k that look tidy from first impressions. Unless something really exceptional turned up I'd always be inclined to go with a well looked after regularly serviced car with just under average miles (say, 7-10k a...
Have to admit I'm tempted by the 360 for the racing games, Test Drive Unlimited is looking awesome. I generally ever only play driving games if I'm not doing the usual 'alternative' thing on my DS/Gamecube.
Consider the statement carefully imo, although they suggest reflections etc I'd pay closer attention to the "The study or cars in various locations and environments" bit a little more, just imo of course. I work in education and spent a while looking at our students photography portfolios today...
Probably a lone voice here but wait for the Nintendo Wii. Shaping up to be an awesome piece of kit, cheap too. Best thing is you actually get lots and lots of new games, not remakes/sequels/graphical updates sold to punters at £20 more than the same thing on the "old" console.
I bought mine on 8k just over a year ago for £8400, at the time that was a fantastic price for the year/mileage/condition. Potentially looking at up to £2k wiped off in a year, shocked!
I really wish I could keep it but I'm struggling, heart says Valver but the costs associated with them seem...
Not sure what is going on at the moment, spotted several Cups here and elsewhere for silly prices (generally, £6k for 3yrs old and <30k on them) which just don't seem to be selling at all.
Yet only a couple of months ago I had mine up for £7750 (53, 24k so not much different) and was...
...just had a better look and realised what a great photo this is. Jenson walking by as his wrecked car is attended to in the background, love it.
Pointless Fact: I had the same driving instructor as Mr. Button.
I do have more but those are the ones I was happiest with, but as I've had requests...
Chris, got loads of yours mate, always seem to get good shots when I photograph your car, I think its the Turbines as they look great on the move. Here are a couple:

Oms, just the one...
Yes all with my trusty FZ20. Tempted to upgrade to the FZ30 though as it's basically the same but with better resolution (8mp instead of my current 5mp)
That's the only one that is still as it was direct from the camera. Got lucky that time I think.
I have more Oms, will see if yours is in there when I get home tonight.
