Was just about to tag @Perrinho

How many people have you surprised with your clio?

Exactly. In a straight line a new 320d would leave a 172 for dust.

How many people have you surprised with your clio?

Mines technically not a clio (but it is underneath) needless to say pretty much everyone I have a play with is surprised.

    Another Kangoo 182

Track days, tip runs, dropping my boy off with his bikes, General van duties. I’ve got a little bit of work to do on it in Jan, but I’ll be doing a track day in it before the end of Jan 2020, I’ve ot done one this month and I’ve got withdrawal symptoms. 😂

    Monaco 172 (make it mint)

I sold my Monaco (50k, repaint, new belts etc etc) for £5k about 2 years ago. A guy bought it to put in to his collection and it hasn’t moved since. It’s lovely having these tidy low mileage cars but I just don’t understand not using them. Driving is the best bit! Look forward to your updates.

    Vauxhall Corsa 2.3 Saab Conversion

He sold it cheap yeah, The new owner then decided to try and make ‘improvements’ and basically naused it up. my mate then bought it back, fitted a bigger turbo, a cage and some other bits and it’s now a toy rather an a fun daily.

    Vauxhall Corsa 2.3 Saab Conversion

My mates 400+BHP Saab engines sleeper. It’s terrifying. (Cage is being painted satin black in the new year, stands out too much)

Audible 'rotational' clunk from the rear under light braking

If he’s got a sticking caliper it’s still plausible?

    ## WARNING ## @ BLOKE

He won’t reply. It’s all over the Facebook groups and everyone is tagging him and his son and so far his son has put up no defence what so ever. Even had the cheek to say they’d “written off the Labour” of the poor blokes Megane. Which is fucked. properly feel for the guy, he’d owned it a long...

    Another Kangoo 182

So last night (or the night before?? Can’t remember, I’m very very tired) I did a 6.5 hour trip in the truck and SHE’S HOME!! so so happy. Got a bit of a list to get through to make it how I want, but I’m happy and that’s all I care about lately.

    All electric Mustang Mach E

That eye sore is Absolute bobbins and I’ve no interest at all. EV’s won’t be properly mainstream in my lifetime so I’ll just carry on driving exactly what I want until I’m too old and die.

Clios with replacement engines - values?

No, but it’s probably an Import.

Clios with replacement engines - values?

I have sold 30+ cars per month for the last 18/19 years. That’s a f**k load of cars. From 90’s Fast Fords to Clio V6’s, to Classic Jags. I cannot remember a single person checking an engine number, not one.

    Returning to my Autoglym roots

Been Cleaning cars to various standards for the last 20 years. The brand I always go back to is Autoglym. Yes there are better products out there but like you say, for speed and ease, they’re a hard brand to beat.

The steels look cool (IMO) but they don’t allow enough heat to leave the brakes for proper track work I don’t think.

    Another Kangoo 182

I’ve seen ropey ones fail to sell at £1200. I’ve seen absolute minters with everything. Done go for near £5k.

    I'm an optimistic idiot.

Apologies, I need to be clearer. Anything old with the 1.9pd is good. Anything after that (about 2005-ish) then it’s absolute junk.

    Another Kangoo 182

I mate I sold it in about May time I think? I am hoping to buy it back very soon though...
  26. Bluebeard

    I'm an optimistic idiot.

We very rarely stock VAG cars now. Overpriced and unreliable crap. And when they break, it’s £700, minimum.
  27. Bluebeard

    I'm an optimistic idiot.

You paid £1000 for that...?! You’re not being serious are you?!

    The New Phone Thread

Gents, I can buy a brand new (but technically secondhand) IPhone XR 64gb for £400. Is that a worthwhile purchase? My 6S is dying within 4 hours now and it’s laggy as f**k.

    Are ph2 clio sport's appricating ?

As with anything specialist (in terms of belts, suspension etc) the ropey one’s will keep plummeting and the good ones will keep rising.
