Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Yeah, i dont think spending the weekend with Richard and his 240bhp one is going to be helpful lol. Had to pedal the M3 a bit this time last year to keep up!! The whine is pretty amusing as it is, although with a few bits of tubing from B&Q you can build your own 'Dave...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Ha ha, i did consider an old 5/740i or something, but I wanted low speed fun 1st and foremost, with a cheap buyprice, that was ok for work/my car allowance. Stupidly a mini is fine image wise, despite being older than the Trophy - which was deemed 'inappropriate for...
So yeah, took a deposit on the Trophy the other day, R32 will be up for sale shortly, & this will shortly be my sole mode of transport.
As we're actually starting to look for a house now, cash in the bank is more important now really.
'52 plate, 64k miles, full BMWSH, MOT/Tax till November...
Everyone gets them from Eurocarparts as they are the UK distributor. Most car parts retailers buy their stuff from ECP so have a line with them. Hell, they even come in an ECP box from their distribution place lol.
Im not gonna tell you what to do, but most people buy at one price, add...
My Ed30 was a massive disappointment & i couldnt wait to get rid of it. The R32 is awesome and i dont really want to sell it.
I get the same 28mpg from both, tax is more in the R32 but it doesnt have a cambelt to change, or a turbo to worry about breaking. I also dont have to upgrade the brakes...
I love it.
Needs to do that lovely big bhp thing where they idle at like 1500rpm though. Bwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Think this was one of the 1st videos i watched on youtube:
I know that, but do you not think its a slightly daft view to take. They look the same. Only the owner of the wheels knows the difference, & yet is £1500 poorer. Clearly this isnt a car designed to go quickly round corners, so he wont be after the weight saving of going genuine ;)
Just makes me...
FailSport have one of those graphs as well:
From our revolutionary induction kit:
Takes the cold air from outside the car. Added 25bhp at Surrey Rolling Road.
Tax is only £460, not £550!! Compared to a 182 Trophy at £250, its only another £17.50 a month, so like 40 minutes work lol. 30mpg is possible on a journey if you sit at 75ish, average for me prior to moving to town was 27-28. Now sat in traffic most of the time its 25 or so. Im used to doing...
You cant get Konigsports for cup packed 182's :( id also like to suggest H&Rs. Mine were epic on track.
In fact, before everyone on CS decided that they haz to haz adjustables because racecar, they were THE setup to buy.
Havent really advertised it properly yet, just on here & the R32oc. Had a chap view the other day, agreed a deal, etc, promised a deposit, kept promising a deposit then bailed yesterday after his 'other car needed some work'.
Cheers Rob :o you wanna buy it lol.
Hopefully a house, but in the...
