Will probably be around 11ish, maybe a touch later.
Drop me a PM with your number and I'll send you a text tomorrow if you want. As I'm just gonna text Dan when I'm back from having my hair cut.
We need to organise some meets first! Although that RR day could be a good idea.
Bet it's ace coming from a 1.2 to a 182, proper step up in power. Shame you can't make it to mine tomorrow, would be a good drive out for you.
Don't worry about taking my service book mate, it'd end up...
Nice one. You free on Saturday at all? @dann2707 is coming round to me to help with some bits on my car, more than welcome to pop round as well if you want/are about?
I'm sure I left it with the locker on the seat, could be wrong though but it's no biggy.
I'll drop you a PM later and get something sorted. If @Louis' gets booked in, maybe he could take it down for me ;)
Looking forward to part two and fairplay for doing it yourself. I love doing stuff myself, makes you feel loads better than just dropping it off at a garage and throwing money away.
Just passed a Silver 197 with cup spoiler about half an hour ago up at the top of Asquith Avenue in Morley.
Also seen a BG 182 in the garage on Whitehall Industrial Estate.
If I'm changing a wheel and it's only going to take a few mins I'll just put one under the cill slightly lower than the jack height so if it does slip or fail then at least it'll hit onto that rather then me/the floor.
I am a bit paranoid of jacks failing after that small cheapo one failed on me
Oh yeh and the ones I got from ECP were waaaaay too small for my non cup. I ended up getting some genuine Kangoo ones which are slightly smaller but only by 5-10cm and still have plenty of thread for the TRE to go on.
Just make sure you get the right size. Finding the right ones is harder than the job itself!
Don't need to touch the subframe.
It'd make sense to do the ends as well whilst you're there.
This is the guide I used, obviously there's just the additional step of removing the old tie rod and...
@MicKPM Do you usually stamp the service book when the belts are done?
I ask as when I had mine done around this time last year I never checked but noticed a few weeks ago that it was never stamped.
Don't think they're horrible but standard wheels defintiely suited it better.
Pretty cool that's she's keeping you updated with stuff she's done though ..... or are you just stalking her facebook for pics? 😂
Have a look in the detailing section bud, lots of info on Wet coat and Hydro2 which is a similar type of product.
But yeh that's the basic jist of how to use it but once you've sprayed the product on, you need to blast it with a pressure washer, rather than just rinsing with a hose, as it...
Look good @Davyy
I know what you mean about the fronts being quite pushed out. I think if you push the back ones out a tiny bit more the fronts would look more in proportion, if that makes sense.
I had one of the small ones fail on me quite a few years ago when I was jacking up my 1.2 Clio, safe to say I needed to change my pants and then went and bought the big Sealey one.
