That's what WBAC have offered me. I revalue it every couple of weeks out of curiosity and to see if what they offer is in any way consistent.
It does seem to be so far. From when I started doing it at 14k miles and I'm now a couple of months further on with 17k miles I've seen they price...
The fact that I booked directly with Goodwood on a 105db day didn't help the overall costs (although the included amazingly nice lunch and as many pukka double espressos as you can drink eaased the pain a little), nor did almost £200 spent on insurance. The fuel cost was just about double what...
My 2 XL is still flying along quite happily as well. I've no desire to change it at all...although it does need a repair as my vibrate buzzes and rattles, LOUDLY. Annoying.
Of course not. They all know not to dis' the gloves.
Useful, thank you. Is this for genuine Ford parts?
Re. the air filter...this was after 16k miles, would they really still be good, flowing, and not choked up at 37.5k?!
After ending session two with 55 PSI in the fronts I dropped 15 PSI out of them and tried again. Unsurprisingly it felt so much better and I was hitting 130+ MPH much more consistently at the ends of the two main straights. From still going at the track like I did in my Fiesta I still left a lot...
...and session 2. Still with road tyre pressures so it was a little skippy...but I switched it into the track damper setting on this one and it made quite a difference ?
This is what I've read too...it's far sharper and more clinical whereas by comparison the RS is just a bit of a shouty brute.
I'd like to drive one at some point but won't go out of my way for now...I've three cars lined up already and that'll take me well into September to get through. The...
Now I've finished this one I can finally get on to sorting through my Goodwood footage...until then...
A year on is the Fiesta ST still as good as I remember it to be?
If I'm free I'll be there...I'll probably not run though.
Or maybe I will. Hmmm, it had a trackday recently, has a good thrash loosened it a little and freed up a few more ponies?
It does seem to have evolved into this.
See new car launched at Geneva under bright lights and on a turntable or see one here, running up the hill along with all other sorts of petrol head gems. I read that quite a few manufacturers have chosen Goodwood to announce and/or launch new models this...
The thing is, the standard parts from Ford are the cheapest I could find, anywhere...I guess it's all down to the fact that there's a lot of material in them...the 350mm front discs are comically large compared to what I'm used to handling.
There's plenty of brake 'upgrades' available, but...
Ha ha, it was a lot of fun...but this week has revealed that fun comes at a fairly significant price.
Gone are the days of 172 Cup prices, £60 discs and £80 pads from @George@RTR_Parts . This little lot I picked up today, discs, pads, and caliper bolts all round, plus an engine cover (as I've...
I've tried that with a good few setups now and determined that unless I spend a decent wedge on a decent mic...that it's not possible.
I've never done it but the only way I can think of to get good in-car video with the exhaust audio is to run two GoPros, one inside and one outside, and then...
You're going to struggle to get anything usable if you use any kind of lav mic...they're great for picking up voice from an individual but not so good at anything else. They're also really really susceptible to wind noise...even with a dead cat windscreen over it.
The only way I've been able to...
Time for a bit more of an update having had a fantastic first trackday in the RS at Goodwood yesterday...
All is (almost) well in RS land, it does exactly what it says on the tin...hilarious fun on track, really heavily rear biased giving some genuine LOL moments with epic power oversteer...
You wear a full face lid when driving on the road? You're far more likely to have an airbag go off than you are when on track...what's your head worth and all that ?
What flies around inside a car when you're on track? Shouldn't every single thing either be removed or tethered?
For me, open face all the way. I'm not competing. I'm not setting lap times. To quote Goodwood it's a "non-competitive social event". Yeah I may be going 50mph more than I do on the...
