Nothing really...I binned the carbon mirror caps and returned it to standard. As well as wanting the car to look standard, they're suprisingly easy to just yank off...better I did it myself while taking some care than some lowlife c**k that would take none.
It was Feynlab or something. What you say makes sense I guess, seeing as it's getting warmer this weekend maybe I'll break out the pressure washer and buckets!
No note left but strict instructions given during the handover as we walked around the car.
As for how dirty the screen was, not really, I was being facetious.
The 140 is about 90% better than the RS was. That was terrible for coating the back. In this, even after several weeks at this time...
Don't get me wrong, I've no intention of removing mine!
As for washing it, the first owner had the given the full works paint wise and it had some fancy ceramic thingy lovingly smeared over it. At this time of year if I cleaned it, as a black car, it will look clean for the first half mile...
I haven't used it for the for the last 6-8 weeks, doing so now without first pressure washing the grime off the rear window would probably burn the motor out!
Why?
Curiosity. The concept of rear-wiper-delete has always fascinated me, so I thought I'd see just how bad the rear vision is without...
Yep, I felt that!
The last 3.5 months in the 140 have been quite strange looking back, not one trip to the official local BMW dealership apart from when trying to get a price for LSD fitting...the only points to note were that the coffee was fantastic, and also that I should not have been there...
Hero spec and appreciating residuals?

Definitely re. the 'box but I won't hold my breath on the residuals!
My Focus RS, now...
Because I never park anywhere where space is an issue I had no idea what it was until I asked the question on my last video.
Simple but surprisingly effective!
Just a quick one was all I had time for this weekend, still loving every single thing about this car ( apart from everyone, well 99% of everyone, telling me that I should have bought an automatic) and it's going to get a whole load better in about 8 weeks' time.
I wasn't told the 'box was good, I was warned it was a bit not good. Still, I had to have it, using my left leg and left arm while driving to stir cogs is as integral to the experience as pressing the accelerator and brake pedal is for me.
I've seen others have an "ALL" button. They seem to...
I've heard this a lot, but not from my car which has been fine, no issues.
I've heard the decision on the M Performance exhaust comes down the the dealership, it's not BMW funding it. As such it's a bit of a rarity from what I've seen.
Not that it would benefit me...I don't believe the M...
The weather and roads recently have been interesting, never threatening but very entertaining. It's so loose! With every mile I'm more happy in this than I ever was in the RS.
Doing a trackday might undo a little of that but I expect the diff to then give it back and then some.
This is why I liked my Ignis Sport so much. Genuinely flat out absolutely everywhere and enough capability to really make progress.
Twingo 133 is a good shout!
The 200 feels more refined because it's 200 kgs heavier than the 172 Cup!
Picture that 200 kgs, that's a completely full oil drum blunting performance. Yes the 200 is more accomplished, more capable, more comfortable, and more refined, but as an exciting place to sit and drive...if I could go...
I had a 172 Cup from new, and later on bought an 18 month old Clio 200 (not a Cup though).
I owned the 172 for 8 years and did 125k miles in it. I owned the 200 for 2 years and did 24k miles in it.
That says it all for me.
Renault shoehorned a 2 litre lump into the featherlight mk2 Clio and the rest is history. With the lack of anything else from this era out there I reckon a minty 172 Cup could be worth about, oh, I don't know, £10k soon?
That explains it. I meant to put something on the video about how the exhaust was worth it for the noise alone...it is, very much.
As for power, as it is I'm not looking for more. Once I've got the LSD fitted, I've had it on track, and it's out of warranty, then KB4 or something similar might...
Most of them have no idea what's beneath them. I'm sure I read something, once, somewhere, that said a survey of BMW 1 series owners revealed that 80% of owners think their cars are FWD.
This is sort of where I am right now. I plan to swap cars with my Fiesta ST owning mate in the New Year, after a few months and many miles in this it'll be interesting to see if the ST still makes me fizz. I think/hope it will.
I can sit behind myself comfortably enough. Access is a complete PITA, maybe slightly easier than my ST but only just. Space is good though.
I had a bit of an epiphany this week, I get RWD now. Why people say it's a pure driving experience, it makes sense. Being pushed from behind gives options...
