Well pleased with my zoom for these, it didn't look promising at first as the spectator areas were pretty awful, came out ok though.

and a few pre-show pics of S25 when I was sat at Cribbs Causeway 40...
2hrs actually sat still with engines off, then took forever to get off the Motorway. Bloody gantry signs on the M5 were displaying the wrong info, and then the signs on the M4 were showing all sorts of stuff (lane closures etc, when there were not any for miles) that confused everyone.
6 effing hours to get home, I'm so tired! Good day though, will post a load of pics later tonight, that drive home was just what I needed considering I now need to get ready for my holiday tomorrow (7:30am!) as well now.
The M4 Car Park...Engines off for at least 2 hours iirc, on the plus...
Got so much stuff on my windows at the moment, just to get in various places!
Waited until about 6pm to clean the car today (I didn't think the rain would ever stop) and within 30 minutes dark cloud had reappeared, so only a real quick clean and no chance to do the interior at all, bit gutted...
Forecast has it clear between here and Bruntingthorpe for at least the next 24hrs, so as long as the roads dry up overnight it should be fine. Good thing is it won't warm enough for flies either so it could good be spot on.
What time you leaving Rich? I get the feeling you will be there on...
Is it sad that I'm sat here waiting for it to stop raining? Been constant all morning and apparently it's only going to get worse. Better clear up before about 5pm as I'm hoping to be in bed by 10pm, need to be up at 4am!
Do they let people in with dirty cars? ;)
No cleaning for mine, got a quick 30 minute wash last night but then got really dirty on my 120 mile blast around Somerset and Devon today. Forecast here tomorrow is rain so that's my final chance out the window.
Pretty interesting, proof that the stats don't tell the whole story when the car gets moving. No doubting that the Clio is quicker but we had a few interesting results.
Firstly it looks pretty rubbish in the metal (although you can make it look better in pics!), no real meaningful stance to...
Omar had a new Polo GTi for a few hours today so we took that and my 172 Cup out for a few tests. A few pics below and more here, detailed shots of the Polo will be added later.
Results are on page 3 of this thread.
and after some initial fears regarding the...
I probably wouldn't be too fussy if I was given one but if I had the choice i'd have the £28k option of unpainted carbon fibre finish, incredible. Failing that, yellow would be cool.
Yup the Cup side-strips are matt, they're all like it.
Can't get a paint code out of Renault at all for them though, damn annoying! Mine need a respray but I want to stay standard, using Mondial would be easy but I like to be awkward!
Essentially, on my Cup...(and also on any Dynamique etc I've ever driven)
1) Stalk in the up position is off, regardless of weather
2) Stalk one click down is rain-sensitive
3) Stalk two clicks down is regular constant wipe (although it does stop when stationary)
4) Stalk three clicks...
I expected as much. The damn sensitivity adjuster makes it even more annoying, it doesn't actually appear to do anything! 4 years/2 Clios and I still don't know which way to turn it to make it more sensitive, seems to make no difference either way.
Sweet, looking good. First time I've seen someone else with the bootmat/net combo...
Let us know how well the front mats last in a year or so :) My bootmat still looks new but my front mats are looking very tired already
I've just discovered the Trophy doesn't use a rain sensitive panel on the windscreen, and with the addition of an adjustable stalk found on most Clio's, you essentially have a good old proper time-adjustable intermittent wiper. Even the bloody Cup has it, they strip most things out and leave the...
