That's lovely. If I didn't have 11 sodding cars already I'd be messaging him.
A tidy exclusive is the only clio sport that could tempt me back in to a Renault I think. I'd love that as a daily driver.
That will be a mechanical fuel pump operated by timing, controlled by electrics. I had a similar issue with a transit. My mechanic did try and explain it but I lost interest! Lol
No issues like that on a clio though, Ancillaries off, Old engine out, new engine in, ancillaries on. Bosh.
197 won't do 40mpg. Not unless all you do is drive down hill. Probably the most fun when pushing on out of your options. Build quality is average.
Megane; reliability engine wise is pretty good providing it's not been mapped and hammered. Electrics and window reg's are problematic though...
That is dreadful workmanship, absolutely appalling.
And to charge £120 to fit it is nothing short of a total rip off.
I'd be looking for a new 'mechanic' to work on your car in future. I wouldn't let him top up my screenwash the 2 bob pirate.
Mate apart from a pair of shorts, I was wearing everything I took and I was still f**king frozen.
3 t-shirts, a jumper, a tracksuit top and a hoodie! Lol
It just seemed to go Baltic at about 10.30pm.
Mooched about until about 9am, Got showered and ready, watched about an hour of the morning session, went and cooked some bacon/sausage sandwiches, then went on the go karts, then walked around the cars on display, then had lunch, then went on track lots in the afternoon, then drank some beers...
I'm not packed. I am still at work. I need to go to Wales (ffs!) to pick my mate up who's coming. The car is not on the trailer. The trailer is blocked in down the garage.
I still need to shave my head (bic, takes ages) and do a bit of shopping.
We've no idea where the tent is and I can only...
Remove the whole lot. ECU, UCH, all the wiring everything.
Fit standalone engine management and wire up all of your electrical components etc with dedicated switches in a panel.
Makes life so much easier and gets rid of the problematic ECU and UCH.
And if you ever change your car, you can...
I'm a twice a day man. But on occasions like this I'll make an exception and drop to one per day. Reluctantly.
If there were no showers, I wouldn't be going!
Are you on AST's Cubbington?
We played with Sam's at silverstone and they are SO adjustable it's frightening. The tiniest tweaks were making big big differences. Quite remarkable really.
