What do you use to clean your wheels? Judging by the faded black on the first pic, I'd say your wheel cleaner is far too harsh.
If I was you I'd cost the wheels in a semi-permanent protective coating, and you should just need a very mild wheel cleaner to clean them up.

He might save £20 on parts and maybe £50 on labour.
But if he's got half a brain, he'll send it away with "CAMBELT OVERDUE" across the invoice and let you sort it. Thus voiding any responsibility he may have with the workmanship that you get carried out your end.
The seller would be mental to do the belts when he could just knock the price off.
Get a price list from Renault for both belt kits, dephaser, water pump, coolant, crank bolt and some new cam end caps.
He'll s**t himself and see the light I'm sure.
If his mate Dave is doing it with Tipex...
Welcome to the club Laura.
Unfortunately there could be umpteen things wrong with it. But without looking at it and carrying out a few basic checks, it's pretty hard to offer any advice.
Have you checked your coolant level?
Is the cooling system leaking?
Have you checked the oil level...
Yes, yes they do.

No, no they don't.

I saw one. But I saw it every day for about 10 years.

I think that's s nice car and look like it's been well looked after.
Sadly, it's about £5-700 overpriced.
He's clearly a driveway trader so you'll have to cover his profit but you'll get none of the back up should it suddenly blow up 2 weeks down the line that you would get from a proper...
My mate bought a battered old pea green T4 builders van for £1500. He painted it white (didn't bother to do the door shuts or engine bay!) and fitted some £500 eBay alloys and fitted some seats out of an old Saab, Sold it for £5,800 to some chump.
I just don't get it. I can understand if it...
I bought one and it's ok for older cars with thin tinny metal. For newer stuff you'll need a better glue. The glue they provide is cheap crap.
I got some proper glue off our dent guy at work and it's worlds apart to what those kits come with.
