Haha, the Switch is (potentially) the last console where physical makes sense. Since the games work without ever seeing the internet. Most games on PS5/XSX now need content downloading in addition to the disc, the disc might not even have anything on it but the license I'm not sure.
Thing is with Nintendo games, if you buy physical they tend to keep their value. Especially Nintendo titles.
But yeh, I do that for other consoles for sure!
Anyone still playing their Switch?
I played a lot of TOTK but then got stuck on a couple of bits in summer and the Switch sat unused for months. Then at christmas I got Mario Wonder which is a cool game, I think it's pretty hard though 🤣
This is nerdy but I played the Another Code demo the...
As above, best way now is to load up with 3 years of core then upgrade to unlimited.
Make sure you let ultimate expire before you do this, or it'll covert at a lesser rate.
This.
Especially if you're gonna be playing single player stuff and want to buy on release. Spiderman 2 was £70 iirc, and imo is a play once and sell on sort of game.
Sounds like you're off to a good start then, throw the link up here so we can all have a nosy!
Edit: This one I guess? Looks nice enough, you'd be the 4th owner which isn't crazy for a golf I guess, most people don't care like I do though 🤣 Only options are the marmite wheels (I have them and...
Main issues I found when looking for mine were:
stone chips, the paint chips really easily, a lot of them look pretty splattered
service history, most haven't been serviced on time, even on longlife, personally I wanted one that had been serviced annually
if it's PP then the LSD needs...
My SNES came with super mario all stars, which had about 5 games on it I think. Didn't often get a new game, only had that for a long time but my dad did used to rent them a lot from our local rental shop for me.
My Playstation only came with Crash and that's all I had for a while, plus the...
I wouldn't even know where to start in their house 🤣
This thread is getting me thinking about the more recent gen and what will be worth more in the future.
Are any PS5/Xbox series (physical) games playable without downloading more content? I've not seen any myself but I've not had many. So...
I did replace the gameboy a few years ago, then I messed it up modifying it with a really unsuitable soldering iron just because I was too impatient to wait for my new one to arrive, it was only a crappy grey one anyway.
Super jealous of the DC setup, my uncle has a cracked DC and a ridiculous...
I'm eyeing up that boxed dreamcast, and the GBA!
I had an OG gameboy, the yellow version, with loads of games. Went missing one day when I was staying at my Grandmas in the holidays. I was sure it was in their house but it's not been seen since, I really did look for it when we cleared the...
I don't want to go that old, I only want to go my lifetime old so 90s onwards, stuff I played as a child whether it was mine or a friends.
Do love a bit of soldering though, I'm a bit partial to an episode of my mate vince or 12 🤣
Also, buying the GT4 was 100% the right move in that scenario 😂
They did do a Time Crisis that works with non CRT tvs, it used sensors.
I had it when it came out and it did work surprisingly well, but it was still not a patch on TC2 on the PS2 with a proper light gun...
Yeh I do agree, firing up anything pre PS2 gen often results in disappointment, definitley best left as memories. As said, I don't really think I'm in this to play them, more to just own them, nice things to have as a massive nerd 🤣
I had the mini NES but sold it pretty sharpish when the...
Bit of a thread resurrection, very jealous of the collections in here.
I've been watching lots of youtube videos of people buying old games and consoles from carboots/charity shops/cex and I I think my new hobby is now retro gaming, or at least the collecting part 🤣
Last week I got my old...
These ones I presume - https://powertoolworld.co.uk/evolution-st2800-1400mm-x2-circular-saw-tracks-inc-connectors-clamps-storage-bag?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1rSsBhDHARIsANB4EJbKpXktx_1HEtcBPNktkAasqrPNuDGdKkUoq_sxu0Kdh0qXL3CV8q8aAkQKEALw_wcB
Anti tilt is just that I presume, stops the unit...
Didn't realise you can mix rails and saws.
I've used my uncle's festool before and was super impressed by it, wouldn't use it loads but it would come in handy now and again. I have a few doors to fit too.
