Had a car day yesterday, a couple of jobs and really happy with how they came out.
Job 1 as always, pump out the pit. I swear if we put the outlet into the reservoirs the hose pipe ban would be over:
Car job one today was to replace the headlights, never been happy with them so got a couple...
Despite me not rating the A series in a recent post, the above is a great shout on such a tight budget.
And if you currently have a plasma @Cookson then I think you'll be super disappointed with any low end LCD panel, another reason to go for the OLED.
Yes, an Aisin I think, my cousin had a 1.6 with a powershift and it was truly awful.
Maybe the manual is putting people off, although old people would like that I'd have thought, they don't like change. Plus the auto costs more in tax and seems a fair bit worse on fuel too.
I still think the...
Still hasn't sold, despite the low price, so I've ended up having it for family rates 😂
A little hack for the winter, and meets my 5 door needs, downside is another car to run/store.
Kids will probably like Forza Horizon, probably go for 4 as you can then get the lego DLC.
You could look into the cheap gamepass trick too, check out the gamepass thread I posted.
Depends on the kids age/what they want to play I think.
My immediate thought was a series s too, but the old one s might be a better shout as you'll have a disc drive and can buy a load of cheap games from CEX etc rather than be locked in to the digital ecosystem with the series s.
Really fancied tinkering with the car today but it kept raining, managed to find a gap in the rain to give it a wash. We still have a hosepipe ban here so got myself a bucket feed for the pressure washer, which I now realise is just a piece of hose with a filter and valve on the end, still it...
I got a cheap electric one, can't remember the brand but it was a popular domestic brand along the lines of flymo.
It was really s**t, the chain tension adjuster was cheap plastic and would lose it's tension after one cut. It frustrated me no end and I ended up throwing it away
Now have the...
That's the aluminium one, these guys are looking at the ultra heavy model. - https://www.halfords.com/tools/garage-workshop/axle-stands-trolley-jacks/halfords-advanced-2t-low-profile-trolley-jack-with-pad-563126.html
I'm thinking of getting that alu one though, I want something I can carry about.
Both ALLM and VRR are 2.1 features, some TVs will imitate ALLM with auto game mode which is good enough tbh unless you use the console for tv/film too a lot.
You can't just blanked rule Sony are better than LG either, are you comparing a high end Sony to a low end LG? Sony do make excellent TVs...
65" isn't the the way to go if it's too big, what size room do you have and how far away will you sit?
If you're not fussed about gaming then HDMI 2.1 isn't really a big deal, with an XSS you'd see benefits from VRR and ALLM though. Dolby Vision is a nice to have though.
I'm still fully on...
My uncle is still trying to sell this, seems fairly well priced compared to the rest of the market too.
I don't know if it's because it's a diesel? I've told him the pictures are a bit crap too.
Anyway, it has a new MOT and service now along with a reduced price -...
Anyone know of any decent discounts, I never seem to get them in my spam.
Im after the m12 tyre inflator and an m12 4ah battery as a gift for my dads birthday which is coming up.
Only deal I’ve found is this very dodgy looking website 😂...
I like reading your updates here, good work, it's looking excellent!
Also thank the lord it's on a new page now, it was taking an age to load all those photos 😂
I can get equivalent BB and Netflix for £35 a month, so £37.50 is the true cost of sky to me as I'll buy the former two regardless.
£37.50 for F1 and a nice interface, it's really borderline worth it.
My current deal is up so I've called and given notice, they came back with:
Sky Signature + Netflix
HD + UHD
Sky Sports
Superfast BB
£72.50
Still doesn't seem worth it, it's about what I pay at the moment but I don't think I use it enough to warrant the cost currently, I just like the UI.

But I think you...
Yeh that's fair enough.
I have also recently played Inside after it was recommended in the game pass thread, and it was looking for other similar stuff that lead me to this. It's an odd genre, not many games that like it afaik, if anyone has any recommendations I'd be interested to hear them...
