Best thing to do is just cut the plastics for the to fit.
Let’s be honest, you aren’t going to swap back to the standard speakers or if you sold the car, surely they would just stay in with the sale.
Yeah that’s what I’m hoping.
I mean.. it didn’t go bad anyway but I did say to my mate who’s got my old clio that it didn’t feel as nippy.
Wasn’t fun at 7am this morning in the frost with no heaters, carpets or comfy seats.
Today is belts day.
Just had a phone call to ask if it had been cammed as the timing was miles out.
never trust anyone who says belts have been done by a specialist before 😂
Yep these look good.
I’ve got the fog duct already in place but at the moment it’s just like tumble dryer duct cable tied to stuff and looks a mess.
So the c6 ducting just connects to the rear of the fog duct is that correct?
Hi Guys,
Anybody able to show me the routing of their brake ducting and what they have used from fog light cutouts to caliper?
I have some installed however on full lock it is catching on something and also the condition of the ducting is not the best so I want to replace it.
Today I fitted the bonnet catches I have had lying around.
Most time consuming job ever and a complete ball ache to line up but got there in the end.
Also changed gearbox oil.
@JamesBryan correct as usual. 2.8 litres until it levelled.
Old oil that came out wasn’t bad and no swarf so happy days.
If anyone is heading over from the West Midlands and wants to convoy then I’m keen.
Will be trailering the clio though so will be a steady one on the Friday afternoon.
Why can I book a morning session but not an afternoon session. Or the other way round, I can book afternoon session but not a morning but it says all day is sold out.
Was literally just about to book for the full weekend but not without doing a full day on track unfortunately with how long it...
He’s meant to be a bit of a legend around here and I’ve had him do my previous clio so he’s pretty nifty.
I don’t think I have any adjustment on the rear so am I looking at 0 toe and camber on the rear and just mess with the front?
Also, I am thinking of booking onto Donny next weekend but...
I’m up for camping but because the wife is coming aswell she might want to hotel.
I’ll talk her into camping tbf as it is my birthday weekend aswell.
I still need a camber / toe setup. I’ve got it booked in for this Saturday but not a clue what to tell him to do 😂
Just planning the weekend now and whether we do the full weekend on site or just the full day on Saturday.
We will be travelling down on the Friday afternoon. If I were to book a hotel for the Friday night would I be allowed to leave the clio on trailer at the track overnight?
Booked in for a Cambelt, aux and water pump service at Renault four ashes on 24th Feb.
Was hoping to do donington on the 17th with opentrack as camber & combustion have a good discount code for the day but never mind.
Will be booking on to Anglesey for the clio sport festival this weekend...
You running the PBS prorace aswell?
I’ve got to get it booked in for tracking.
I think you sent me an image of how yours was setup a few years ago but can’t find it in messages.
I saved this from another post does this look good for track? And can this be achieved only with camber bolts on the...
New ball joints, track rod ends, drivers side driveshaft, passenger side cv outer boot fitted.
Drilled and grooved discs front and rear.
Brembo pads rear.
PBS Pro Race pads in front.
Full flush of RBF 600 fluid.
Booked in for aux and Cambelt service next Saturday.
A better Saturday morning...
This is where I’m at.
Not my picture but looks exactly the same from a vid I have watched on YouTube but he skips past getting it in line 😒
How am I getting that to where it needs to be to get the nuts on the bottom of the lower arm?
Yeah I was thinking that was my issue as I had no wiggle room up and down.
Main reason for not taking out the damper was because I didn’t want to mess with the camber bolts but I think I’m going to have to.
I will be getting it re set up anyway so not really sure why I didn’t in the first place 😂
No photos as it’s dark in the unit now.
It’s probably just me being dumb. I’ll go back down tomorrow and re asses.
I thought it was going to be a 2 minute job as I had everything already stripped down but I just couldn’t get the ball joint low enough to fall into place.
Is the best approach...
Tried fitting ball joints and TRE today - the lemforder ones and I’ve had a mare.
Because I have the TRE and ball joint both out at the same time, the hub is able to move everywhere - still connected to the strut.
I can’t seem to work out how to line up the lower arm and the pinch bolt so I...
Just checking these are the correct ones as it does say doesn’t fit my vehicle from the reg - noted you said it would say that.
Presuming these aren’t handed so just order 2?
I sold it about a year ago now for 3.5k
Sold it to my mate who has turned it into a full track car so I still get to see it aswell.
Sort of did it backwards as my intention was to turn it into a track car but I sold that and bought one ready to go instead lol
