This is what I want the finish to be like. So just shed load of TFR and a steam cleaner?
What about cleaning things inside the arches such as driveshafts that are oily, shocks / springs etc.
Same approach and will be ok blasted with water aswell?
I just don’t want to put water where I...
What’s the best approach to cleaning the engine as best as possible to remove oil, grime and general crap.
Doing track days I want to be able to come back from track, clean down the engine and be ready to go again.
As it stands, the bay is grimey and would be hard to tell if there was a new...
So as i mentioned earlier, I managed to get my hands on a mk3 cup racer scoop.
Unfortunately it was Red so I put my skills to the test.
With track day tomorrow (Sunday) at Blyton and the scoop not turning up until a Friday night it had only given me today to get it sprayed, wrapped and fitted...
Have managed to source a mk3 cup racer scoop. Very excite.
Hopefully it turns up in time for track day at Blyton on Sunday as it’s looking like it’s going to be a scorcher.
I don’t suppose any of you know how far you set it back from the top of windscreen so I can get a rough location for the...
Bumping this thread.
Which scoop is this?
I have found a TRS teardrop on demontweeks which looks similar.
Alternatively, anyone know anyone who is selling one?
Hi Guys.
I’m not a huge fan of the orange stripe separating the silver from white.
Was wondering what you photoshop gurus could do with the attached image.
I’m thinking of still keeping a stripe to divide but not sure on what colour.
Using iPhone edit image skills is not cutting it so hoping...
I’ll have a go at it that’s for sure lol.
What did you do with all of the wires running front to back down the sides of doors etc?
I do need to have a go at the wires to get rid of what’s not being used but that’s another job for another day.
@imprezaworks I’m at Blyton 10th sept by the way...
Thinking of painting the inside of track car.
Any advice / best products to use?
I’m thinking of having it white so it’s nice and cool in the summer but not sure if this is a good idea?
Hi guys,
Have bought a Sabelt steering wheel so obviously no horn button.
Can’t get my hands on a ph1 stalk and I want a separate button next to the ESP button either way.
Question is… does anybody know which is the horn cable that is in the connector located at the rear of the steering...
Just jumping on this thread save starting a new one.
Just put a sabelt cup racer steering wheel in so obv no horn button.
Plan is to put a momentary switch on the dash somewhere.
I touched the two horn wires together yesterday and it honked as it should.
Today I fitted the switch which...
Thread hijack!
Need to get a set of wets for Blyton on 30th July.
Hopefully stays dry but with this weather forecast who knows.
I’ve got a set of new ad08r on at the moment and have a set of NS2R on the spare set however these only have a day at best left in them so don’t want to risk it and...
So I didn’t opt to remove the entire pedal arm however removed the plate from and old assembly and refixed.
Worked out pretty well to be fair.
Now just got to remove sound deadening and bits of glue 😬
The guy who had the car before said there was an intermittent fault with the entire oedal housing. He swapped it to another second hand pedal and the problem remained.
Checked throttle body, wiring, EXU etc and the only thing that cured it was a cheaper pedal. Only issue that gives me now is the...
Hi guys…
May be a simple solution but thought I’d ask before I act….
I’ve got a plastic throttle pedal fitted in the track car… unsure as to why but never mind.
I have 2 spare original metal pedals and wondered if it was a case that I could just remove the entire pedal shaft which connects to...
Revive thread!!
anybody know which Bosch Aeros to order from ECP?
I bought some ages ago and just went to fit them to find out they have given me ones for a kangoo.
sizes are correct but the clip fitment is completely wrong.
So the Clio is booked in for belts on NYE as the five years is up on them.
last MOTnoted that both sides boots have split so I am looking to change both sides.
I am thinking of going to J&R for these as the cost is good however I just wonder as to the quality. Any experience of them on here...
Is there a way to replace just the boot as I've been told you can't?
Would you run a j&r driveshaft on track as they are only £50 brand new, or buy a second hand one and just fit that instead?
If second hand is the option, anybody got one for sale?
