My suggestion, having been there, done that & got the t-shirt?
Buy a Clio, leave it standard. Spend the money you would spend on tat on go-karting/holidays/dem b1tches instead.
Bought it from a right c*nt though iirc.
Re: wheels, the BBS ones look rank Gally, although not sure if they are worse than your current ones though ;)
Needs RSTT's desperately imho - for me, their slight dish is what makes the car.
Personally, id be looking at what other cars you can get for the money.
I was completely unimpressed with my 197, it just wasnt quick enough for the mpg.
Keep the 182, buy another daily - it'll still be cheaper than lumping all your money into a 200.
Been on here nearly 7 years now - Sept '05!!!
All started with an '04 RB 182 with both cup packs & stripes. Did 19k miles in it in 4 months lol ...
Since then ive had a 172 cup (now owned by understeer_phil) a 182 Trophy (now owned by Luke.) the Shed Trophy, & 1 million BMWs.
Made some...
First rule of service history forging, pick a garage that has closed down ... ;)
If you want some invoices for a 182 with 54k miles on it, i have loads lol.
I had to remove the tints on the M3. 5 windows = 1 hour using the following:
AutoSmart Tardis
Pure Acetone Nail Varish Remover
0000 Steel Wool
Total cost of the above? Circa £10.
Hai. I never thought i would like auto either until the auto coupe i had back in March.
Since then ive had the touring & now the R32. Auto daily FTMFW.
No problem whatsoever, im slowly turning cliosport into bmwsport.net ;)
Car looks great btw, good spec as well!! Does it have Nav, or are...
Stamps mean nothing, you will need invoices!!! I'd call all the garages that have actually stamped the book, & get them to send you copy invoices of the work done. When you consider that after 13 months, my Trophy had a genuine 83k miles on it, there is every possibility that yours could have...
Admin charge is £17.50 (+ whatever the premium change is), number plate is £80, HPI/Glass is £20, petrol to view, well that does depend i suppose, then train fair to collect is usually less than £50. Advert costs are free (PH & here), & been lucky with viewings in that nobody has ever gone away...
Its no real secret what i do though really, i just buy as close to trade price as i can get away with (usually 15-20% less than retail), then sell up when the realistic private sale price has depreciated to within a few hundred pounds of the original 'trade price' that i bought the car at -...
That'll be the mechatronic unit. Can fail at any time really, but it does give a few tell tales that its dying, ie unwillingness to change gear, jumping into 1st when pulling away etc. DSG oil change every 40k helps avoid the issue.
From VW, the part alone is circa £1500. However a company...
Oh Joe :dapprove:
That poor Emfwee. Sell it to me so i can save it?
With Silvervisions, this would have been perfect:
Now you look like you're from Bradford:
MOT records should go back prior to 2009 for this one.
My bet is that somebody has changed the instrument cluster & its done rather a few more miles than the seller says it has ...
Meh, DSG 3.2 VAGs are for gays iirc.
Avus silver is lovely, although it is a little too close to Peugeot's manstone blue for my liking ... Easy for detailing though, so not entirely what you'll do with your weekends now you wont be cleaning the car for 8 hours a day!!! Eat more deep fried...
Yeah, usually take Sarah's TT there for the more complicated stuff, that i cant be bothered to do ;)
Ended up being £475, cheaper than quoted, which is always nice. Although i do hate spending money on things that i cant see and/or feel any difference for doing though!!! Then i noticed that my...
