So, whats a decent after market wheel?
I want a flat one as I think dished would be to close. I like suede more than leather, but the fact they go shiny might annoy me? Whats a good size (also, how big is the standard wheel, 380mm?)?
Cheers
Its great.
Its very much more of the same from SSX Tricky and SSX3. If you liked them, you will like this.
If they weren't your cup of tea then this probably isn't going to suit you.
Every time I have toyed with the idea of buying one of these, this is the conclusion I have come to. Pinto's are just to old now, and while a bike engine would be amazing, they seem to require a lot more time, money and effort to keep running in tip top condition.
Yeah everything is completely shot. Its all over the place on uneven surfaces. Its booked in at K Tec next friday.
I never planned to drive it until then, but I had to drive it to work today to collect my new tyres :)
When you did yours jengis, did it make the steering feel stiffer and less...
Yes, I think so. The nut is done up hand tight. Should it not be? It was tight when I took it off (took a bath in WD40 and some elbow grease to get it off).
Not that I remember. You have the rubber top mount above the bodywork (under the bonnet) with the washer and the nut inside that. Then under the bodywork in order going downwards you have (if I remember rightly) a small nut, then a washer, then the big black rubber thing, then a long metal cylinder.
The benefit of the RS-Rs are their ability to be used as a single all round tyre (on track and on the road) and their cost advantage over things like R1R's or R888's.
Ideal if like me, you only have 1 set of wheels and are doing things cheaply.
If you have the funds to buy better, or have more...
They went back on in the same order and configuration that they came off, so assuming they were correct before, yes :)
Just moved my car and the 'not wanting to self centre on full lock' is affecting both directions. Its on around the last 1/4 turn of the wheel.
The springs are seated right...
I've changed my front shocks to Cup ones, and fitted Sportlines and camber bolts, and since doing so I have noticed my steering feeling 'stiffer'. Its also not so keen to self centre while driving either. If I turn it full lock left then it reaches a point when it seems to loose all desire to...
If they are anything like the other hot hatch makers running turbos, there will be 25 and 50bhp increased 'special editions' around anyway, running nothing more than a new map and some limited edition paint. 230 should be an easily achieveable figure without any worry. There's a 250bhp map for...
Yeah I'm thinking a dish would be too close. However, its easily changeable. Think I will head for a flat one to start with and go from there.
Anyone stuck a Clio without an airbag through and MOT since Jan 1st?
Yeah, Renault part own Nissan and have struck a deal where the Red Bulls run with Infiniti branding in exchange for free engines (for 2011 at least, this year I think the deal is worth more money than just the engine costs of 8m Euros). Its the exact same engine though, and as you say still have...
