So, this is now fully run in...I should get a day blasting about in it back to back with my RS next weekend.
Nervous is an understatement...I've gotten used to the safety and security of AWD and the thought of all of that power and torque through just one axle makes me poop a little bit.
After living with them on my 172 Cup for all those years and then regretting massively that I sold them for buttons...a good set of Turinis make me moist. Even more so when they're wearing some proper rubber.
Good f***ing work, looks fantastic!
Having lived with wireless charging for two years I can absolutely see the benefit at home or work.
Phone charging, phone rings, pick up, talk, roam the house/office, hang up, put down, continue charging.

or...
I don't, no, I only ever do the neutral clutch up thing if I'm stopped and know there'll be a wait. It works really well on the Focus...it's really quick to fire up, there's never any wait, it's just ready to go when I want to go.
Pah! It takes no longer than most people take to stow bags...
The reason I'm OK with it must be that it just works so well on the RS. I've tried catching it out but can't. No matter what I do it's always running just fine by the time I've got the clutch on the floor ready to select 1st gear.
It seems to be electrical gremlins only...three times it's happened in completely different circumstances and it's always resolved itself immediately. It seems to not really be an issue but I will report it come service time and show them the video footage I have just so it's reported and...
Ha ha it did!
My like for it simply comes from a dislike of waste...and burning fuel when stationery is a complete waste! Yes it's a negligible amount...but it's still wasted.
I do get the turbo thing...but modern turbos are, compared to days gone by, such small things with little inertia that they take no time to run down...people that feel the need to sit idling in their modern turbo cars before shutting down make me chuckle LOL
Besides which the car's ECU wouldn't...
As I said in my video...this is a very valid point! I'm the opposite, roof open and zero aircon at every opportunity hence me being happy for it to keep cutting out.
They have indeed. I got torn a new one by a CDi Merc today. I was in the wrong gear, should've bought an auto etc.
I expect the 440i will feel every bit as quick, and probably a fair bit quicker than my RS when I get a go in it. Mind you, even my Fiesta ST felt faster than the RS LOL
Did I mention I have a Mountune FPM375 mk3 Focus RS coming along as well? If not, I have now.
Will be good to get Charlie to overlay his and my curves so we can see back to back exactly what the £1k package would give me.
The 4 had to be dumbed down a little or else it would tread on the toes of the pukka M4...When I get to drive it I expect it to feel just as you describe...a fast civilised GT that can get a little lairy when it's called for.
Darker would have been my choice as well...but they had this one...
Then we'll put you down at 100%. My f*** ups are when I forget I'm wearing gloves or use the wrong, non-scanned, finger.
Android rocks etc.
I'm loving Oreo, updated this morning, one tweak has made my day LOL
My 6p works 100% of the time. I genuinely can't remember the last time it didn't read my fingerprint correctly that wasn't a f*** up on my part. In fact I don't think it ever has.
How would doing that stop your phone from being fully charged by the morning using a wireless pad?
If anything it's better isn't it? No need to be dragging a lead around when checking or unplugging it if you need an emergency 2am dump.
But, you still wake up fully charged. Done.
What about...
Your choice, pay for local storage or pay for cloud storage.
And this is where Google/Android beat Apple hands down; unlimited cloud storage, for ever and ever, amen.
I had a Nexus 5 for two years and when I finally went to the 6P it was the biggest single thing I missed. I'm still not quite sure why Google dropped it.
At the time it did help that the company I work for is involved in the wireless charging industry so I had charging pads everywhere though.
Is it truly mobile if it's physically attached to something via a cable?
I think the point of wireless charging is that you have charging pads everywhere so it's always being topped up. In your car, on your desk at work, on the train, in restaurants, wherever you are, you place your phone down...
What remains as a variance is completely and totally down to the woeful value of GBP vs USD. It's UK priced to account for where they think cable will end up, and while it's not too bad right now, it's expected to get a whole lot worse.
Did anyone moaning about the price vote to leave in June...
