Nice! 10k has gone by fast!
I'm in a mk7 Fiesta courtesy car right now...makes me realise just how much I miss my ST and also how much Ford just got right with the basic mk7...even with a gutless NA 82bhp and 84 lbft it's such a fun thing to pedal!
What can I read from the engine that will show that torque limiting happening?
It doesn't appear to be boost. Ignition timing/advance? I really want to find out what holds it back so I can see how launch control lifts that restriction (as it's supposed to do) but I genuinely have no idea on...
Sadly yes I do. Over on RSOC they're properly "OMFG you're being illegal" and will take any video down showing clear naughtiness.
I can just about push it to an indicated 75 and they'll let that slide. Me and @Jeff simply getting a dab of oppo around roundabouts or showing acceleration through...
LOL maybe but I have no idea. Unlike my other videos posted on there this one has had only one reply in 24 hours. Either its far too geeky for them or, as you say, they just don't like to hear what I'm saying!
Drive it on a track before you do a single other thing to it...and as said above get some tuition while you're out there. Your car will love you for it and you'll likely get a 3-5 seconds better lap time over what some camber shims and roll bar tweaks will ever give you. You're obsessing over...
Copy that.
I'll most likely be there from the crack of dawn and for the entire day anyway wanting to catch all cars on film as they arrive and are run (unless of course anyone says non).
Whatever 50 litres of your favourite tipple costs. My last fill up which was just after the dial footage shown at 3:00 in this video (with zero miles remaining so about as empty as you can get it without risk) cost me £59 for 49 litres.
Bingo. This is what makes them such a laugh to drive...
LOL at full chav, I wasn't going to be the first to say that, but...
Hahaha and urgh.
Re. the blue and black wheels etc every time I see someone post pictures of their new pride and joy all I can think is 'oh look, another one'. It's become very tired very quickly.
I know, I know! Drift yo day at Rockingham comes first...plan is now spring for Goodwood.
Aye, the seats with Nitrous Blue, nice flashes of colour but throw up a whole other first world of problems.
That's why so many saw it as a "no, never on an RS" colour...the fact you can get a transit...
This one hurt a little...spending this many miles on bumpy roads with the dampers firmed up is not recommended...and all with the usual side order of cringe.
:up::up::up:
Nothing yet other than a day on the wet (lack of) grip facility at Rockingham later this year, because drift yo.
I'm waiting on my GRRC membership to come up...annoyingly a buddy that's just landed a contractor role at Rolls Royce has jumped the queue...so I am trying to get onto a GRRC day via...
A bit below from what I've seen so far, although the AWD system is a complete unknown so that may be a factor.
I'll put faith and in be happy with whatever Charlie says mine is (or isn't) making!
Yup, M400 is now official. Interesting to note that the development team said that as an everyday car the engine, at 350bhp & 350lbsft was very close to its reliable safe maximum.
With the reports of coolant loss I won't be rushing to mod mine any day soon. Honestly, I think it has plenty of...
I'm in, either day work. I'm guessing Charlie can run the RS without issue?
I was invited for a run at Devil Developments in Littlehampton but they turned around and said they couldn't get their dyno to work with the RS...
I'm sure Charlie will have worked out how to get it to work LOL
Eventually. I was hoping for Goodwood this year but that's not going to happen now. I may jump into a Rockingham skid pan day that RSOC have organised though...that should be a good laugh.
I really don't. If it's even slightly wet the rear spoiler/diffuser combo mean the back of the car/rear window get's continually plastered in spray/crap. Wiping continuously is the only way to a) see anything and b) catch anything worthwhile from the rear dash cam.
