In other news, been finally collecting bits bits to install the EPAS system, picked up a epas column with ECU for £45 on fleabay, wiring ordered, just need to order a belt and will get to work installing it next week. Im going to run the standard cup rack. Epas for £100 thanks very much :)
Update:
Been a very busy week putting in around 8-10 hours a day on the car trying to get it ready for todays deadline.
This week saw the subframe, box and engine go in along with a few other refreshed parts as well as a fluid refresh.
Picked up the engine from the builders, had it finished...
Ok Mark thanks. Be interested to see, oh and not saying that that car isn't drivable, but talking about minute bhp losses at high rpm.
So your total length must be 290mm? (Head to horn face).
And you had enough space for the air between end of trumpet and bonnet?
Well I decided to order a set of 90s (i made a c**k up before and ordered 90s with a 48ID and not 45ID
Anyone using 120mm 45mmID trumpets in their KTEC DTH bodies WITHOUT angle
Modifications?
I understand you will need to trim bonnet and use a larger filter.
Taking measurements from the current bodies with 90mm trumpets and total length from head to end of trumpet is 280mm, that only gives...
Very nice mate, i had to put a 3rd pin in mine due to the HAL one flapping too, had to remove a bit more internal skin to the angle of the ktec bodies.
Been using the polo rad with oil cooler (with pas pump, 172 cup) for racing and its been fine, I did however cut 3 air holes in the front member and bumper.
To be honest mate, i would be happy with the 220, see how you get on with the car at the first race and adjust from there, also this will give you leeway to adjust power with raising the limit and exhaust etc.i would most def be concentrating on handling at this stage.
What manifold do you...
Exactly, top tip, anything you do to the car make sure its MSA (clubsport) legal, it doesn't necessarily have to be FIA spec as you wont be racing in Europe. Get a copy of the blue book, even an old one of ebay (not too old) will give you direction.
Exactly, if your thinking about it get the ball rolling now. Its gonna cost you just to get yourself in the seat, ARDSs test, license fee, medical, race suit, boots, gloves and helmet not to mention transponder fee/subscription/hire.. And all this even before you work on the car.
