Ah right thought it was advertised with climate as most silver cups are. Just give me a shout about the splitter. Russ

    EP3 Civic Race Car Project.

Yes mate etch primed first on the bare metal, few coats of regular primer, all flatted off before a few coats of Matt black top coat. Just rattle can job. The Matt black is very forgiving and easy to get a good finish. Obviously the key is the prep. They're no where near perfect but good enough...

    EP3 Civic Race Car Project.

Not much has been happening, still waiting for the cage, it's on route on a pallet somewhere, expected it this week but unless it comes tomorrow (xmas eve) I won't see it for a while. I've started removing some interior brackets and the seat rails and it's the most boring job ever! Managed to...

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

Phase 2 brake ducts on eBay

They look horrific! Chris from cm composites makes the cup racer 'style' ducts and are great. He does smaller ones too that don't need the bumper modded to fit. Russ

    Kenny's Kup

Nice to see it on the deck and rolling around kenny. 369 is Renault Glacier White the same as mine. They look very similar at least when mine is clean anyway. I might have missed it but what is the plan once it's finished, as with the sequential box etc it's ruled out of a lot of race series. Russ

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

I can get it somewhere near with the equipment we've got but normally have it done at the start of the season properly by Blink and if i have it in bits mid season i'll get them to do it again. They've done it twice this year and then i had to do it roughly after cadwell myself. I do take the...

The only thing stopping you getting the original cover back on is two lugs on the cover that sit behind the pulleys though, easy sorted. Russ

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

They'll work with any as you have to drill the end of the cam to accept the dowel. Russ

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

Yes will be doing away with the vvt, pure Motorsport do piper cam pulleys with a dowel to drill and lock the cams to the pulleys. Russ

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

I couldn't possibly tell you that! It's not gonna be a massive money build. I need a spare engine anyway as after whats happened to everyone else's this year I'm thinking mine is living on borrowed time! So I could build up another the same spec as my current lump but I might as well make a few...

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

Not a lot going on really, just waiting on some parts coming to refresh the front suspension, a few bearings and new nuts and bolts etc. subframe is off to have the wishbone mounts strengthened and some other mods to make the whole thing a bit more solid. Although I don't agree with...

    Dingers CSCC Tin Top Build

For reference my rear springs are 750lb, pm's rear bearing and stiffening kit + last year ran the Whiteline arb, will be running the pms arb this year but I might also try a stiffer rear spring again something like a 900lb depending how pre-season testing goes. Iirc my old cup car used to run...

    Dingers CSCC Tin Top Build

That swift is an absolute menace, its actually comedy fast in a straight line the way it takes off! How hard do you try to get heat in your tires, esp. the rears on the green flag lap Dave? I never have a problem with stone cold tires on mine, not to the extent you seem to anyway. Russ

    Thought I'd share....

Looking good mate, assume you're having the suspension geometry all set up when it gets corner weighted? If you didn't know, just fitting the rear shims won't nessecarilly give you the camber/toe you're looking for as it all depends how straight your beam is among other things, a '2 degree' shim...

BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Nice write up mate, didn't realise you'd had the engines swapped out and back again before hand, nice work! I assume there were 6 cars in the team if you did an hour stint (2x30mins?) just interested in how it all works as I've said it might be something I'd do next year. 2015 All clio team...
