Nice graph ;)
I agree though, there are many times on track where low/mid revs in 3rd are used instead of bouncing off the limiter in 2nd.
At this point, where smoothness is key, more torque is very useful :)
See im completely the opposite.
I'd rather buy one that needs work, then get it fixed up properly by a specialist/myself - then i know its been done correctly.
Personally i would rather buy a slightly cheaper car that hasnt had the belts done, then get them done by someone i trust, ie Fred @ BTM.
Rather than paying full retail for one thats just had them done by the dealer/a drunk bloke down the pub/NWP (in order of perference).
Currently have an M3 for day to day & the Trophy for trackdays/fun.
Looking to buy a house so need to reduce monthly outgoings. As such, im selling the M3 for a newer clio and stripping the Trophy back to rolling shell & putting it in storage. Newer clio should give me similar running costs to...
If it helps at all, i find that my Trophy gives far more 'accessible' fun than my M3, ie you dont need to be doing 120+ in order to get your kicks. In a straight line, its obviously a lot slower, but down an A/B road, the M3 wouldnt know which way it went :race:
Hence why the M3 is going, & a...
FFS Another one lol.
To be honest, the only edition that i would actually really really consider paying £20k for, would be a Trophy.
In UR, with a hydraulic steering rack, remote Sachs dampers & a Quaife LSD. Id finance that bad boy over the next 10 years if needed.
Re: Solution's to the hose pipe ban? Ideas in here from and for anyone.
My solution?
Either not bother (what i usually do), or use Ollie's indoor cleaning area ;)
If you want a 197 or 200, get on www.clio197.net :)
Or talk to this man: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/member.php?20158-R-Sport-Cars-LTD he has a mint RB 200 with Recaros & Speedlines for sale.
You'll need to become a member to see his section iirc.
To be fair, it would also be very easy to get the car recovered on the back of a truck (via shiply) for less than £100. Car fixed = less than £600. Not ideal (cos it broke in the 1st place), but not the end of the world, & you could then still sell it for decent money (£3.5k or so) once fixed...
Looks ace. UR is FTW!! Although i'd be tempted to leave it a bit dirtier/take pictures further back with that much orange peel ;)
Lack of Recaros/Speedlines does make me a little sad though.
Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
Same. I walked away from the non-cup 200 drive feeling totally underwhelmed.
The following week i drove an R27, which was much better. I can only imagine that the cup-packed 200 is better again.
One thing i will add though, is that they HAVE to have Recaros. If...
lol. Nail varnish remover is brilliant for removing window tinting film ;)
Re: the car, im open to all sorts of pi55 taking offers, so feel free to pm me/make an offer on eBay if you fancy it.
