    Megane R26

Ha ha, thats awesome!! Nice colour as well, rather rare iirc - especially if his is the S54 verison with TC/DSC, etc!! I used to have an Imola Red S50 version, brilliant cars :D

Love Cadwell, love your car !! lol @ the nutter in the Z3M, in the rain, on a trackday. Wipers needed on the side windows me thinks!!

    The endless battle against Understeer

You simply need some decent tuition i think. Will help to improve your lines, braking point, steering, etc. The giggling is perfectly fine mind you ;)

"It never rains, it pours" (water in ignition system)

Another thing to try (might sound pikey but it worked on my 106 after i jet washed the engine ...): Grab a hairdryer, cut some hosepipe down to about 6 inches in length, duct tape the hose pipe to the hairdryer (where the hot air comes out obviously). Insert hose pipe into spark plug hole...

    My new BMW 330.

Reps are not the creme de la creme of anything. Unless you are a poverty stricken Asian drugdealer. Imho, MV1's looks best on the pre-facelift, & MV2's look better on the post facelift. CSL's look best on CSL's. End.

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Probably not to be honest, too attached to it now!! Deep down, its essentially the reason why im selling the M3 - to keep that, id have to sell this, & that simply wasnt going to happen anytime soon. Most people think im bonkers tbh, preferring some knackered old pink shed over 340bhp of ITB'd...

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Its the pretensioner wires under the seat, just havent got round to sorting them out yet ... Certainly doesnt need any more servicing lol, its more than spoilt in that respect :)

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Thats this one!!! I remember the original thread where he asked what it was worth, then bought it & about 30 people (inc. me) said 'yeah mate ill buy it off you for 3 grand, just let me know when' yadda yadda yadda. 6 months later its up for sale & nobody is interested for weeks, too many...

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Very well looked after, certainly from a mechanical perspective!! Paintwork wise, underneath the inch of dirt that i use as 'wax' to protect it, its not so bad. Certainly nothing a day with the DAS-6 wouldnt fix ... keeping it clean is a nightmare though. Living in a flat is most definately FTL.

Modded vx220 turbo cheaper to insure than the 172?!?

1*2 insurance is currently ridiculous due to the number of plebs buying them & crashing 5 minutes later. My M3 only costs £150 more than my Trophy lol.

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Why thank you :o Was initially done by the 1st owner 14 months after he bought it iirc, at 72k lol ... JMS did it again (along with the cambelt/auxbelt/de-phaser) 4.5 years later at 175k.

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Nah, im not as wealthy as Christopher, so i passed on the 200. Steering was woeful on the non-cup 200 i drove (had Wanli tyres as well it later transpired, so im sure that didnt help lol), but i then tried an R27 and found it to be much better ... i didnt buy that though. Im too tight. Not...

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

Ah yes, had to be done!!! Sad i know, but bless it, it deserves the recognition :D Hopefully not for a long time yet!! Pulled 175bhp at SRR in September last year with just with V6 airbox, BTB exhaust & JMS remap, so its a strong little bugger. Will be going into storage soon when the new...

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

On Friday, the Trophy officially became officially Heroic. In my opinion anyway. Yes, these are pictures of a 182 on 182,182 :o Took it down to Cornwall for the weekend (another 500 miles) as a celebration of its awesomeness. Oh, & to treat it to some rather epic B-roads around my parents...

    New F30 BMW 3-Series M-Sport

I like them. As per usual, the SE looks sh1t and the M-Sport looks great. Nice ploy to make everyone spend more money ... Steering wheel reminds me of a golf/scirocco though (cruise/radio button layout), which is slightly upsetting.

    The endless battle against Understeer

Just get some tuition, none of the suggestions re: mods are worthwhile if you are taking the wrong lines/braking at the wrong time. My Trophy has always had a full interior, so that has little no bearing on understeer lol.

    The endless battle against Understeer

Standard rears are fine. DS2500s/ Brembo HCs are good with braided lines as well. Also removing front fogs/arch liners will aid cooling drastically!! Other than that, tuition is fantastic, really helps you get the most from the car, & most importantly, yourself!! You might find that the car...

    The endless battle against Understeer

Itll be the latter im afraid ;) Heel & toe is very easy in the 1*2!! What pads are you using out of interest? Cant remember my abs ever kicking in on track tbh.

    The endless battle against Understeer

Try braking later/trail braking, will help weight transfer to the front end when turning into the corner. Ull need to be able to heel & toe for that ideally though. Also fyi with eibach camber bolts, i got -2.9 at the front!!

182 Trophy upgrades, NEED HELP IDENTIFYING!!

Considering clios lose about 17% through the transmission, if your ATW figure is correct, that would indicate a very unhealthy engine - pulling only 150bhp or so ATF!!!!! Which is awful, suggesting the timing is out? Not sure if u mentioned whether thats been done. Iirc Engine Dynamics are...

RS2 makes 150lbft for almost entire rev range and 190bhp on standard engine :)

Clio Cup cheese gearbox edition. Apparently Renault designed it so that if you dont use heel & toe for absolutely everything, the synchros explode. Good point re: taking it back to SRR. No point getting pub figures from another rolling road.
  28. Sir_Dave

RS2 makes 150lbft for almost entire rev range and 190bhp on standard engine :)

Maybe not such a great idea actually, i'll probably be in the new car, which apparently will be slow at anything other than 7k rpm. Good brakes though iirc, pretty colour too. Anyhows, back on topic - have you mapped your RS2 yet Chip?
  29. Sir_Dave

Im probably just not a very good driver then ;)

At a guess, instead of being at 6k in 2nd, ud be at 4k in 3rd instead. To me, thats low on track. Mid is say 4.5-6.5, high 6.5k+
