the mesh inside most foam filters is minimal and flimsy, but it does the job. I have use the RAMAIR filter with the 70mm opening on my 182, and a recent RR result had shown a +10bhp increase over the stock filter :) Also according to RAMAIR, the filter is pre-impregnated with the oil in between...
I made my own. Its dead easy really. basic implementation is a pic based device>Server>Webservice/webinterface. Allows me to control *anything* in the house and cost under £100. Hardly ever use it though so a waste of time imo.
I'm with BT BB at £15 a month and have NowTV Movies+Entertainment (which is powered by Sky) which cost £13 a month + Netflix + Lovefilm. Provided your internet speeds are ok, it works a treat :)
it wasn't because of the power figure; it was because his OP seemed liked he was a novice yet quoted he already had 230bhp+ engines in his second post. Now its clear he is not a novice at all.
I recommend getting the aux belt done for peace of mind if there are no records of it being done. Take it to a specialist and they will give everything a quick look over to make sure its all ok for you as well if you ask nicely ;)
just make sure you have a receipt for the full 'aux belt kit' being replaced at or around 77K, else I would recommend getting that done just to be on the safe side as it will take out the cambelt if it fails. its much cheaper than cambelt/dephaser etc.
so you have done 19K miles, you have another 13K miles you can do before the aux belt needs to be done (provided it was done at the same time as the cambelt) and 53K miles before the cambelt needs to be done. Or if you dont do those miles by the year 2016, then you will need to get them done...
I can make mine step out on a particular corner (manage to do it 'on purpose' almost every time if I try hard enough). It's a sharp 90 right turn though and is going over a slight hump, so rear dampers may be to blame (not that I mind).
I ordered one of those f1.8 m42 mount lens, cost me £26 in total with a ring adapter (which has an extra glass to allow infinite focusing) :) Should provide me a a few hours fun when it comes at the end of the week! First thing I will be doing it stripping it down, giving it a good clean and...
that sounds interesting l33th3tr33 McGherkin, will keep my eye on this thread (cant confirm for sure until there is definitely something/date/time to confirm) :)
Stopherson, weren't you running a ramair filter as well?! Coincidence that we both had them (with very similar setups) and both got really good results?
yes so they animate between the 2 frames to give the 3d effect. Nice pics btw. the tube/fish-eye effect done in post?
whats your facebook :p
lol yeah, told her to stay still for a minute but she didn't listen. There's another one with a blonde girl that when animated looks like she is...
