its got new type-d coolant :) you just cant see it because of the condition of the tank lol. I wanted to get some polished aluminium tanks but haven't had the time/funds yet. It will probably get done sometime in the summer as its too cold outside at the moment!
it could be the thrust bearing on the clutch. Easy way yo tell is to push the clutch and see if it goes away. If so, you need a new one at some point (although mine on my mk1 has been going nearly 40Kmiles now chirping away).
so basically you have made an app that give you an alarm everyday telling you to take a picture? Surely I can do that with just the normal repeat alarm? Or does it do more? Also what platform?
i was thinking it could be bottoming out on the dampers thus making it higher. but i'm not sure you would get the top nut on if it wasn't put on right as there isn't much leftover thread.
not true. ride quality will be hard as hell but nothing un-safe about using springs. My mk1 is down on Apex -60mm and never had a problem.
@ OP, did you screw the top hat nuts down fully in refit?
Road momentum is still turning the engine going down a hill without changing down a cog. Your not saving any more fuel than if you left the car in the gear it was in. In fact, you have used more by rev matching it. Also why would you loose speed by staying in 5th?!
Sometimes loads, sometimes not so much :) More seem to attend in the summer as its not so cold/wet I suppose. McGherkin has (as of yet) attended 100% of the meets I think, so he's the main contact for the SW stuff if you need info :)
The monthly meet is just off the motorway in exeter, but we also have some other meets that take place all over the sw. Best thing to do is keep and eye on the 'South West' forum section as it all gets posted in there :)
