    fiesta st 180

Yep, mine are fine. It's still on the pads and discs it left the factory with 34,000 miles ago, I've had zero fade on track and there's a good 2mm left on all pads all round. As @Scrooge says, if they're working OK the standard ones are fine. So much so that even with a few options out there...

Ha ha ha, yep, that's Lee alright!

    Torn between 2 cars....

I'd be inclined to go 172 Cup...but as above, best condition one is best.

    Pigeons, FFS

They are indeed! I was kind of relying on their natural survival instinct to do what they normally do and that's fly away at the last second so I share some of the blame. There was also a whole load of s**t down the side to my front wheel arch. It was proper baked on when I got home last...

Thankfully, after a quick pressure wash, all is well.

Clio Modifying - if you could start over where would you go....

I would do exactly this. Nothing at all. I ruined my 172 Cup by being obsessed with making in a leaner meaner track machine. What I should have done is a load more trackdays in it and just enjoyed it for what it was, a very capable car straight out of the box.

    The Apple Watch Thread

I've always said Apple are the best marketeers on the planet. If they made Apple ice cubes Eskimos everywhere would be wetting themselves. And just LOL at the stainless strap links taking 9 hours to make, is there a link to that nugget of information? I'd love to read the detailed ins and outs...

    BMW M3 Show Car

That's what I see on STOC every day taken to extremes. Stay of the crack kids.

    The Apple Watch Thread

Super cool though. And I bet they just work perfectly.

    The Chris Harris thread

Wow. Part 2 looks like it's going to be good. The speed differential off the line was huge!

Just yum. Oh, and wow too.

    Clarkeys Fiesta ST-2 (Thanks Cliosport)

Do exactly this...but not yet, wait until they've worn a little further. I'm on my second set of RE050s and I'll get to 36k before I need to change them...rotating them gets me 18k from a set.

    N0ddie's Fiesta ST

I love mine in the wet, it's all over the place but in a way that makes you ultra comfortable with it moving about. Not had it on a wet track yet though...must have been really bad for you to sack it off after 2hrs! Disappointed no glowing brakes discs ;)

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Typical noob, and probably often answered, question here having given my ST its first hand wash after a winter of grime and nothing other than the odd snowfoam and jet wash... Tar spots, they're everywhere. Front, sides, and back. Previously I've used AG tar remover applying it to spots...

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

There is also that option! I'll be checking it before I drive away after the next service, regardless of what they tell me over the desk.

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Well it's not that. My drive, and my space at work are both 100% clear.

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Exactly, MP215 has hardly turned it into a max boost flame spitting monster! As for breathers and venting etc. it's another language to me - I understand the most basic principles of internal combustion engines only. Are there any simple and easily accessible things I could check on the engine...

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Well, the other chap on STOC also has MP215 so that might have something to do with it. Hadn't thought of that. Just from running a little extra warranty approved boost, my car's developed an unhealthy thirst for oil? Is that likely?

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Mileage now is 33.5k and it was topped up at the last service which was pretty much bang on 25k miles. So that's a litre in 8k miles on a nicely run in engine. One thought I did have is that the services have been thrown in gratis by my supplying dealer. Not a formal Ford Service package, but...

73 rd Goodwood Members Meeting 2015

Really? I didn't know that. Do they set a theme each year in advance? I've no problem with going dressed smartly, but pre-'66 can be a bit of a pain and the theatre of the Revival gets in the way of the racing somewhat. I like the fact that at the MM, from what could see, I could pretty much...

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

So today I came to my senses after over a decade rolling around in Clios and having the ever present luxury of a, for me anyway, reliable and accurate indicator on the dashboard of engine oil level every time they're fired up. A pal on STOC PMd me asking if I'd ever had consumption issues as...

73 rd Goodwood Members Meeting 2015

So to sum up, it's like the Revival Meeting, but with more modern machinery, no need to dress up or risk feeling the odd one out, and about 50,000 less people getting in the way. Next year, and in the voice of Jules Winfield..."ah man, I'm goin', that's all there is to it, I'm fuckin' goin'".

    Matthew's VW Tiguan

I'd say after registration date. Check the manual as they do allow some leeway, I'm sure based on mileage they allow an extra 750 or maybe even 1,500 miles...so 30 days shouldn't be a problem.

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Not a penny for both services so far (12.5 and 25k) and not a penny for the upcoming 37.5k service either...I had them thrown in (by the dealership as opposed to being the formal Ford service package) as part of my original order. £200 is outrageous though - I believe circa £150 to be the going...

    Focus.

You don't have anything in common with a Fiesta ST? Really? They're very similar cars, yours just happens to weigh quite a bit more so has more power to cope with its bulk.
