Most (if not all) coilovers that fit a Clio can go so low on the front that the arch liner will sit on the tyre before you get to the bottom threads.
For the rears, if you want it low, just fit the spring without the adjuster.
Also once you've got a nut, put a massive washer on before putting the nut on. Had to do this with mine as there was a hole in it around the nut so even though the nut was tight it wasn't holding the heat shield in place.
Mine was overdue when I finally got it to Mick @ Diamond. He says I was pretty lucky as when he showed me the old cam belt, you could see cracks all along it!
That's pretty much exactly what I've read from loads of posts on DW. Don't really care whether it foams or what it looks like, as long as it does it's job of cleaning well
Anyone used Bilt Hamber Autofoam? I've finally run out of my Magifoam which I bought years ago so was probably past its best and need something new.
Looking on DW, it seems pretty the Bilt Hamber foam seems to be really good for the money!
Hahah, definitely trying to find that.
Anyway, I'll stop clogging up your fred now. Got loads of things going on with mine at the moment. Going to CSK on Saturday to get exhaust sorted, dog bone to go on, gearbox oil to change, got money from my birthday to get my cup spoiler painted and F1's...
Hahaha, grim.
Been trying to whatsapp you but my phones knackered so don't think it delivered. Got a dog bone with Poweflex bushes fitted delivered this morning, things are getting serious now!
Just got a notification that you commented on this thread for some reason, possibly because I've commented on the thread before?
Totally agree with you there. When this was about I had a 1.2 Clio and dreamed of having a 172/182 like this. Been years since i saw this thread, so I'm going to...
Hi all,
Just got round to cleaning the air filter and after cleaning with the K&N stuff it looks like this. When I rub my finger in the slots, there's still dirt in there that I can't seem to get rid off.
Better off just buying a new one?
Thanks
I bought this kit off eBay as it was half the price of the 3M/Meguiars kits. Used it exactly as directed and it's hardly made them better tbh, put some right elbow grease into it as well. Wouldn't buy it again. Actually thinking about getting the 3M kit and giving that a try.
Good shout on Bram, been there 2 or 3 times and won't go anywhere else now. I have to put aside 30 mins more than the job actually takes as I always end up gassing with Brad and Michelle. Did they have the dog in? Haha
