Of course, i have been using the trakrite toe device to workout my settings as using the strings is a pain due to driveway not being level and my garage being too tight.
The rear beam is 15minutes toe out (7.5 either side), Without any shims. I take it this is the standard set up for a 172 cup?
I normally run 10' out per axle but decided to try 20' out per axle at Donny, at Cambe I ran 10' toe in, was actually pretty good but standing start suffered.
That sounds a good set up, I ran EBC YS before but had a bad experience with them. They prob do the job on the Clio very well though...
Hmmmm interesting, the pads are DS3000 (brand new) and discs have only done 1 hour of racing and 30 min of quali (also a test day 45 min). Im not hard on the brakes and always do the correct bedding in procedure. The discs have only ever seen DS3000.
Another awesome weekends racing with the TARC in the Tricolore Trophy, with a combined grid and stand alone race it made great racing...however the car still had a few niggles that put a slighter downer on the weekend.
Quali:
Overall quali went "ok", while not putting in the fastest lap, the...
iirc the tyre temps was around 53deg buy the time I got to the paddock. Tyre pressure was around 31psi, the car handled better in the second race when I dropped the cold pressures down buy 5 psi to what I normally run. Will also add that the brakes was locking up too.
I checked the car over...
Yes went well, beat my PB by seconds however the tyres started going off by the 3rd lap and by lap 5 they was done, was hard work trying to keep it on the black stuff to be honest. With the tyres going off the brakes kept locking up, even trying to moderate the braking and taking corners...
UPDATE: June 2014
Again, due to work and other commitments not a lot has happened with the Clio, I manage to replace the crank sensor this week with the newer style (blue) sensor, it actually makes a real difference, my old one must have been proper shagged! Looking at rolling the car out...
I'v been running the KTEC bodies (with GEN90) for 2 years now and has not missed a beat, on a otherwise standard engine (except map of course). If you can afford the £ per bhp ratio its def worth it in my option, esp if you can get one second hand.
You have to bin your fly by throttle wire and...
Yes I am (Tom?) happy days, Donny was my first race venue last year, and first time i haver been there, its good fun, def looking forward to going back there. Have you done Donny before?
Are you the guy who just registered to do the race at Donny in 2 weeks? (Clio 182)?
You will only need 45min of video space minimum, i carry spare SD cards anyway if you do fall short
Nice progression mate, hmm self control whats that then?
Regarding the flywheel bolts, it should be common knowledge to replace them as the ramification are to great otherwise. (Theres plenty of youtube clips of flying flywheels! )
How much did the arch roller cost?
