If you have 3k to spend I would just focus on proper suspension, and forget engine mods for the moment.
I've just invested in full race suspension, and will be making a tough choice later about whether to get a supercharger or not, but for me handling comes first.
IF you're car has auto headlights, to turn them on, turn the headlights on then off twice. You should here a beep (or maybe two).
To turn them off do the same thing again.
Auto wipers are just the intermediate setting, and you can adjust the sensitivity via a control on the right stalk.
Hope...
Have a look on my blog, there's a couple of out-take shots from my Evo shot.
How much would you want to spend? I take it your after photos of cars mainly?
Wouldnt agree with that entirely, some 'off the shelf' kits get pretty good reviews from people who know what they're talking about.
But I agree entirely about having a full set-up, that's what Im getting next week. :) Can't wait !!
Funny you should mention that actually. I'm off this week with the sole intention of clearing out the garage, so I can have a much better work space for detailing etc.
And I bought some new goodies last week, so yes in answer to your question :)
I'll probably do mine again soon anyway :)
It was on 44k ish when I bought it, and it's just turned over 53k last week.
Not the most miles I know, but for how many they've done they look pretty good!
I would get the exaltos. Yes they're the most expensive, but they perform very well and they last donkey's years!
I changed my fronts in October 08 and they don't look very worn at all now!
I use 1144s at the moment with no complaints on track, but iirc they arent focussed track pads.
The carbon lorraines get good reviews, can't remember which variant to go for though.
As above. My first time on track was epic, granted I was pretty s**t but it was amazing feeling what the car could do in a relatively care free environment.
If the SC kit is easily removable I think you would be better selling the car and that separately. I think you will find the kit wouldnt stay for sale for long on here!
And why are you getting bored?!
You think that's expensive!! Christ I wont say how much I will be spending next week on my set-up!
It's not about the money for me, it's about getting the best possible set-up for track.
I'm not aware of any 172s that have had that mod, but I'm probably wrong.
I would guess it's not very reversible, so it's something you would have to fully commit to.
I got the Megs clay kit, with the detailer spray. As long as you keep it lubricated, and don't apply LOADS of pressure you will be ok.
Oh....and as above, don't drop it!
