Thank you, yeah in my opinion it just doesn't make sense how they sit in their original position. The Cup springs drop my 3mm, as soon as I bought the Clio I knew it had to go on Cooksports.
I had the 225 stripped out with 4 points and thought that was a decent car, so I can imagine that the R takes it to awesome levels. Always liked them, a good investment. I can't imagine you'd lose money on it.
It's definitely to my taste, love the look. You know when you just can't quite put yer finger on something. I think maybe because the tyres and wheel is black.... Then with the surrounding arches in black, it all moulds into one look. I bet if it had white alloys or silver steels it would change...
Having a lowered Megane makes a world of difference. I put my R26R wheels on when it was the std ride hide and it looked awful, BC coilovers later..... Awesome.
It looks good, IMO ride height is on the verge of looking 'broken'. Maybe if it had alloys it might be a different case, I don't know. Maybe if it was a tad higher on the rear or something.
I did mention that, they seemed unsure on the Clio. All they said was they fit certain looms for the Monitor and as mine doesn't have it, it wasn't ordered from new and might not have the loom and connectors to make it work.
I've booked the 200 EDC in at Renault to have the gearbox software upgraded and also to see if the technician can retrofit the RS Monitor, they need to see if the loom is compatible.
I sold it to a work colleagues son, maybe someone can run the vehicle reg somewhere to see if it's still on the road. I remember the first ones on turbines and the later ones on the 5 spokes with some in full leather. Would love to own a std early one on turbines
Yeah I do, was a quick car back in the day. Sounded great with the induction kit. Loved driving it, not many cars back then had 17s which I think with Venoms of the time looked pretty good. A few years after I owned the sister car the 19 16V
Was digging through a load of old photographs this morning and came across these 2. I joined Cliosport first time round back in 2000, this was my first ever Renault Clio. Lowered, 17" TSW Venoms, stainless cat back exhaust, big induction kit straight off the throttle body. Used to attend the...
It's making for great info and conversation so I'm hoping that the both of you aren't taking any of my comments the wrong way. Cheapest Adaptronic is £630 which I mentioned above.
Agreed, buying an off the shelf turbo kit is the best and cheapest way. Collating parts second hand and new then...
No but depending on requirements you can have a custom loom made with the OE ECU binned off and run everything through the Adaptronic.... Or Omex, or DTA. The point is, and the beauty of this case with the Clio is it doesn't have to be done, the ECU is just needed as you're running boost. So...
