Air filter hoses re-glued.

Thought I might as well do a gearbox oil change. Will refill with RENAULT trans elf NFJ tomorrow :) Just to make you all aware elf oils have now been discontinued NFJ is no longer available from Renault. Luckily we have a fair few in stock at work.

You’ll need the aux belt kit also, I think I managed to get the last one from Renault Wolverhampton, been on back order for ages now.

I was watching this on eBay, started at £1500 BUY IT NOW, I was tempted as it’s a 1 owner car, no room for anymore though 🤣 Great base to start from.

Fired her up, running lovely. Fuel line leading to the injector rail decided to spring a leak :( on the hunt for a new fuel pipe now!!!

Getting there, all nicely timed, tensioner bang on. New spark plugs, nice to see the old ones were the correct type.

All timed up, took a few attempts to get it bang on, cam end tool slots in lovely with a couple of fingers now :)

Always loved working on my own stuff, just found working on other people’s cars very boring and repetitive.

As I’ve got all the time in the world on this I’m cleaning bits up as I go. Carbon canister was looking in a sorry state so that was attended to.

For the price of the genuine stuff its mental to put anything else in.

I've ordered a nissens rad as you mentioned in my other thread. Did the rad not come with the captive nuts?

Scrubbed down the front arch liners, the only way to clean both sides properly 👍
