Twist back and forth whilst pullingon the speed drive, spray a bit of lube around where it enters the gearbox 👍

Speedo dropping in and out will be the speedo drive on the gearbox, easy to replace. It’s sat on top of the gearbox just below the coolant tank. headlights are pretty common to steam up in low temperature wet weather. You can pop a headlight cover off the back and it’ll demist pretty quickly.

Great progress, the tensioner setting on the old belt was completely wrong 🤣. Did you replaced the aux belt kit or has it recently had one?

Hopefully it’s as good underneath as it is on top, at least we know the gearbox and sump is pissing out everywhere like most 👍 every time i started it I was praying the cambelt didn’t snap 😂 If I had kept it longer I would have clay bared it all and machine polished it etc. But it has come up...

If anybody wants the car for £1,500 they can have it now. it’s fitted with the original CAT which is worth £600. If not I’ll keep it until the summer, do the belts etc and put it up for £2,995. it will need to be transported as the cambelt is miles overdue and it doesn't have an MOT or tax.

Tbh the steering wheel is in really good condition so that’ll stay as it is. Seats need a de bobble then that’s it really.

Spent an hour or so on the interior, looking presentable now. Steering whee is in very good condition for the age/mileage.

Made a start on the interior, boot first. Nice to see the original spare and continental tyre dated 2001.
