Oil and filter change done. Arches cleaned up and engine bay interior and headlights next.

Overnight oil drain, that’ll do for today. Will be refilled with 5w40 elf and a genuine Renault oil filter tomorrow. No oil leaks either, result!

Came up alright, body work is surprisingly good.

Cracked on with the cleaning, a lot of jet washing all the crud and moss off. Ill grab some pics of the wheel arches tomorrow, went to town on them.

Checked all the levels and made sure the aux belt wasn’t about to snap! Pumped all the flat tyres up. Popped a battery on and after some cranking it fired up 😍. No warning lights!

I’ve had a replacement strip off the guy on Facebook who makes them himself. Been fitted for a year now and still works fine.

I did think about it but couldn’t decide on silver or black. In the end I just cleaned them up on the wire wheel.

Other side all done, again the spacer washer was incorrectly fitted so I flipped that over.👍

Cracked on and did one side this evening. Upon removing the disc I noticed the spacer/washer had been previously fitted around the wrong way so I flipped it over. Spacer, wrong way. Flipped it over

Time for new rear discs and pads. The genuine pads and fitting kit are no longer available so I’ve gone for the Motrio pads (basically Renault ) and an aftermarket fitting kit.

I’ve taken the spacer off and spun it around, definitely fitted the wrong way.

Ordered some new discs and pads today, thought I’d make a start stripping them down. Removed the discs to find the spacer fitted which was nice to see but has it been fitted the wrong way round? Pic of how I found it.
